I know that Vets suggest to have your cat spayed or neutered at 6 months of age. I was just wondering if a male cat could mate with a female cat that is in heat before 6 months?

Hi,

My cat is scared of one of my neighbour's cats (it keeps coming into my house!) and now is having some behavioural problems.

I'm going to address the other cat issue but what can I use to get rid of the cat urine smell, and deter him from doing in again? I know you can get a couple of pet products -feliway spray and Pheroma.

Has anyone used these or can recommend something else?

Thanks a lot.

Ok, it was an accident. Its early in the morning and I get cranky in the morning, but I was walking towards my brothers room to get my magizine and I didnt see my ssiter's cat walking behind me, I slammed the door on her tail! OMG, she hisst and meowed loudley! OMG, I think I damaged her or something.....

She started running and stopped and licked her tail. 20 minutes ago, I tried to get her and comfort her but she ran away from me?!!? What do I do? We dont have time to go to a vet

tolouse (my cat) uses his claws all the time. and he can get seriously vicious with them. my question is. is it mean (inhumane) to get a cat declawed. i realize that they use their claws like fingers and what not. but i have more scratches and "battle wounds" on my arms and legs then i've ever had with a pet before in my life! the shelter i adopted him from asked me not to. but it's only getting worse as he gets older.
i'm constantly going back and forth trying to decide what i should do. i know it hurts some cats and others, it doesn't really faze them. i don't know what to do.
i guess i'm really just asking, if you have a cat is he/she declawed, i so why. or if no why not?

I got my kitten about a month ago & he was perfect. He used his litterbox with no problem what so ever. Recently he has been peeing on my bed, almost daily now. I can't understand why. He'll occasionally use his litter box to pee, but it seems as soon as we confine him to my room he decides to use my bed instead. He's still young so we keep him in a room while we sleep or if we go out. He WAS fine until about a week ago. I've kept his litter clean & everything... Could it be because i took the frame out from under my bed & my matress is now laying on the floor? It's only about a 6 inch difference.. but he was fine all along. & he only seems to do it when locked away. Could it be a bordem thing? Please help...

I've tried "No Mark", it doesn't work for him.... & i've tried a vinegar solution... no success either...

last night one of my cats sat in the corner and kept looking up at the wall and reaching up the wall with its front paws as if trying to tough something, the kitten followed and they both sat there staring. I called them away but they kept going back. I checked the wall and couldnt see any spiders/insects etc... it really freaked me out!!!

I spent months deciding to get a kitten (2-3 months old) and now I can't find one. I miss my dog who died 2 years ago badly but we don't want to be so tied down now that the kids are independent. I finally decided I need a pet and a cat is less needy then a dog. The shelter said there won't be kittens available until June. As sorry as I am about the "teenagers" in the shelter I really want the babyhood of a kitten. Any ideas about locating a kitten in winter?

I once had a cat who listened to all of Pink Floyd's 'wish you were here'. This morning we watched our ginger tom listening to the radio and swaying to the music.
Time for a feline top ten!

My husband wakes up at 4am to go to work. But ever since he started that new shceduel, our cat has been waking him up 30 minutes earlier. Is there any reason why our cat is doing this? I think he's just paranoid that he wont wake up. Whats your opinion?

i was working on my car, lying underneath it and had oil and grease on my hands i misplaced my rag and as luck would have it my neighbors white himilayan kitten strolled by. Now my neighbor accuses me of his cats dirty fur, why can't he just get over it. is it not true that the people of ancient times and of all cultures used the domestic cat to clean there hands if they weren't using it for tossing games. oh those ancients really knew how to live.

my kitten was recently sick and had to have an IV. Since the IV he has stopped drinking water. Now his litter box habits have changed although he has been eating. Can IV cause this to happen? How long can a kitten be ok without using his liter box? I have started giving him water with a dropper. He was also spayed a week ago Wednesday.

A couple that live at the retirement home where I work have a kitty about 2 years old. She has a few small areas of missing hair at the base of her tail. Not bald, but really short like it was done with clippers. It looks like a mini brush cut. The poor thing is stuck in that tiny room 24/7 with nothing to do. The couple also have the heat cranked up really high. Could kitty be stressed? She only has missing hair in this one spot. The skin isn't at all red. Could a too warm environment do this? Kitty doesn't seem too itchy & I don't see her grooming excessively. It has gotten worse this winter as they turn the heat up. Their daughter will be taking her to the vet soon but I'm curious in the meantime. Any ideas?
PS the couple will be moving within the next few months & a new home has already been arranged, so poor kitty won't be cooped up much longer.
