My husband wakes up at 4am to go to work. But ever since he started that new shceduel, our cat has been waking him up 30 minutes earlier. Is there any reason why our cat is doing this? I think he's just paranoid that he wont wake up. Whats your opinion?

so he will get fed before your husband goes to work. cats are like that. have owned one for years, and mine does the same thing......

Our cats have always done this.
They seem to know that soon someone will be getting out of bed and that the person who's getting up will be the person to feed them their breakfast.
So I don't really think that's he's afraid that your Husband won't wake up on time I think in the cats head it's all about the cat..LOL

My kitty wakes us up to play at 4:30, when we don't have to get up til 5:30. She just wants attention. Then she bat our faces gently with her paws an move the covers off our faces til we wake up. It's kind of cute, but also annoying.

One of our cats always wakes my other half if we sleep later than usual. I guess we all have our routines & Tara likes her breakfast on time! It's quite handy in some ways - I never sleep late for work! She seems to have a bit of a sixth sense when it comes to weekends though, as she lets us sleep for longer.

if its because your husband feeds your cat when he wakes up, maybe you could invest in one of those automatic feeders? set it up the night before to feed your cat about a half an hour before he usually wakes your husband... then he can eat his fill and go back to sleep.
