Can a cat that is FELV-positve, infect other animals?

YES! Your cat is a carrier if there are no symptoms but can still easily pass it on to other cats!

Not can, WILL!! Unless you keep it in strict isolation from other cats. Humans, dogs, and other animals can't catch FeLV, only cats. It is ALWAYS fatal. If you can't isolate it from other cats, PLEASE have it put to sleep. And when it starts to get really sick, PLEASE have it put to sleep. FeLV is not a pleasant death.

There is no cure for FeLV, you can try to delay symptoms with antivirals, but it's expensive and may not do any good. Prevention is key!! ALL cats that go outside, or are indoors but share a house with a cat that goes outside, NEED to be vaccinated against this killer virus.

Yes. My vet told me that if another cat with it sneezes on my cat it can transfer the infection.

YES! I believe it is spread through the saliva! DOn't expose the sick cat to thoers.....
