OMG, she hisst and meowed loudley! OMG, I think I damaged her or something.....

She started running and stopped and licked her tail. 20 minutes ago, I tried to get her and comfort her but she ran away from me?!!? What do I do? We dont have time to go to a vet

The cat should be find because their tales are very flexible. Once the cat calms down and allows you to hold it, gently stroke it and make it comfortable to be with you. Once it is completely relaxed, gently maneuver it's tail around and look for reactions of pain. Otherwise you can feel the vertebrae in it's tail to see if there are any kinks or breaks. If you're still not sure, take it to the vet but I think the cat will be fine.

If you do not have time to get to a vet then you don't have time to take care of a cat responsibly. I did that to my cat, got her to the vet and it turns out her tail was broken. They will usually just dock the tail, which will hurt the cat alot less than having a broken/hurt tail. You need to catch her and run your hand down her tail to see if you feel any bumps or cuts. If your cat reacts to it, then she is hurt. I suggest a vet visit. It would be the same thing as if someone slammed your leg in a door and didn't take you to the doctor. It sucks.

This is just my personal experience with cats, but you probly didn't damage the cat, you just might have simply hurt her. She will be uncomfortable for a bit. Whe she lets you close to her again feel her tail, if something feels out of place to you, or if she meows very loudly or even hisses at you, then you know something is wrong. Take her to the vet at this point, something is broke or hurt badly. You probly just hurt her for the time being, just like if you had stepped on her tail. If this is so then she will just ignore you untill she has forgiven you.

Make sure you don't let her out of the house, she is scared and perhaps in pain and she could go hide somewhere and get lost. It doesn't sound too bad, since she wlaks around and everything, but the tail could be broken. Wait a little and when she calms down look if the tail is crooked and if she moves it normally, and if she is in pain when you touch it softly. If it looks bad inform your sister and the vet.

She is avoiding you since in her mind, you were the source of the pain in her rear ;-) As long as she is walking ok, and the tail is moving, generally, she will be ok. The cat's tail is made up of cartilegelike vertebrae, with lots of nerves, but no spinal cord runnig through it. It's kind of like you nose. Just like it takes alot to break your nose, the same is true with her tail. My advice to make friends again is to get her favorite toy or treat and sit on the floor, at her level, and see if she will come to you. It may take alot of time - mine took 2 days of off and on coaxing until she would come to my husband after he dropped his gunbelt on her - and she still hates the gun belt after 10 years. Check out the website below for more clinical information - and good luck!

Cat's are pretty resilient. Check in with the animal within an hour after. We rub our wounds too as humans so she will tend to her wound as well. If she is still not ok when your regular vet opens on Monday, I would take her then...and btw give her some really good treats as forgiveness

my cat that I had before fractured his bone at the base of the tail due to a door being slammed on him. but it was obviously something was wrong because he couldn't lift his tail and was hissing and growling everytime he treid to walk because eh was in pain.

just check to make sure she can move her tail and seems to be ok... if not, don't let her suffer in pain!!
