Kittens do drink quite a bit as they do lots of running around. If you are feeding your kitten on a diet of mainly dried food, this will also mean it needs more water.
As your kitten is young, you probably spend a lot of time with it so you tend to notice it drinking, whereas older cats usually spend time outside & will drink water when they're out, so you don't see them drinking at home quite so often.
Just to be on the safe side, keep an eye on its litter tray for the next day or so. If your kitten is drinking an axcessive amount of water, but has little urine or there is a pink tinge to it, this may be a sign of a water infection or kidney/thyroid/diabetes problems. These are normally only seen in older cats, but if this is the case you should take your kitten to the vet ASAP.
All the best.x

How much is "so much"? Many people think cats don't like water - only milk or cream, but this is not true. In fact milk is harmful for some cats. It is normal for your kitten to drink water, but if s/he is drinking and weeing almost constantly, then you should take him/her to the vet for a diabetes check.
Don't panic, diabetic cats can live long and happy lives, but thye need special cae - your vet will guide you, if this turns out to be the cause.

It can often be a sign of diabetes. I have a cat who will sit at her bowl and drink a rediculous amuont of water. She always has though and I have had her tested more than once and she's fine.At 14 weeks she is probably still going for shots, Yeah? Mention it on the next visit.

Because they're young and growing quickly. Kittens need lots of water to keep them strong and healthy.
Is the kitten eating well too? Also how is his/her litterbox habits? Is he/she going regularly or are they having problems? If he/she is only drinking and not eating, you may want to consult a vet and let them check them out.

It can depend on what you're feeding it. Dry food is particularly high in salts which is why special kitten food is available. Make sure your kitten always has access to a plentiful supply of clean, fresh water.

Probably just thirsty but to be on the safe side have a chat to your vet. Cats are very prone to kidney problems and urine infection, also they can suffer from diabetes just like humans. As I say it's probably nothing to worry about but you'd be very upset with yourself if you find out later that it's something.

how much? Are you filling her bowl more than twice a day? My cats have always drank a lot of water -- I would fill the bowl at night and in the morning it would be almost empty and I have been assured they are healthy.
