Have you noticed. Seems strange, every other animal does.

I've been insisting my friend to fix his cat and he wants to know what are the good outcomes of it.

It costs $75.00 for a cat, $100.00 for a dog from the animal shelter in my town. People that want to adopt cant afford it.

He is an 11 year old neutered male and has never done this before - I moved to a new place 3 months ago (he has moved with me twice before) so you would think that it would have happened right away if it were a psychological thing. I have caught him chewing a palm plant - but he has done that before too without this problem. Any thoughts out there?

I have a 4 year old female shorthair, part siamese, who literally loses her head when she sees a strange cat in our yard. Her eyes become black saucers, forgets where she is, who she is, and frighteningly enough forgets who her sister is and attacks her. I'm not talking a swat, I'm talking a full-body, claws out pounding at which time I have to somehow intervene without being hurt myself because she doesn't recognize me either.

When I get them separated, she's like Norman Bates in Psycho, awakening from a dream and becoming her old self again as if nothing had happened.

Has anyone else experienced this with their cat?

I have 2 kittens that are about 5 months old. One of them always hides/sleeps under the bed when he goes to have a nap for some reason. When I get home, he will always jump at me, ask to be picked up, and then knead me and lick my face for a good 10 minutes straight, and he always comes out to play, chase and wrestle the other cat, etc, but when he gets tired, he generally hides under the bed. He is always on my bed with me when I wake up in the morning. Why does he do this? He obviously isn't afraid of anything; is it just because he likes the quiet/enclosed area under the bed? The other kitten wants to be around me and in my face 24/7. Any suggestions?

My kitten is 5 months old. At what age do you think I can stop feeding her kitten food and start feeding her cat food? I think she is bored with the minimal flavors Iams offers in the kitten variety.

We use fresh step right now. I really like the clumping ability of it, but the smell makes me nauseous. That fake floral crap just kills me. Does anyone have any experience with other litters that clump very well and don't have such an assaulting fragrance? Also, where do you find it, we only have a Petco near us in case it's a specialized brand that only certain pet stores carry. Thanks in advance!

but at any rate, she has been throwing up the last 2 days. It is sort of a milky white color. She is on meds for hyperthyroid... I'm wondering has anybody had a cat that does this?
She doesn't eat or drink as before. It sometimes takes all day to get her interested in food or drink..

I have a 2 year old Male cat that I have had problems with recently. I got him in 2005 from a shelter. He is fixed and I have 2 litter boxes in the house that are cleaned frequently. My other cat I have had no problems with (shes a female,1yr old and also fixed) Recently he had been peeing on my boyfriends side of the bed. Just on his side, not on my side or anywhere else in the house. I have been with my b/f for 6 months and have now lived together for 3 months, so I dont think that has a factor with it. I took him to the Vet and he didnt find a bladder infection or anything.
I am now not letting him sleep on the bed with us anymore because of it. Also I shut the bedroom door when we are not in there.
Also we are getting a new puppy next week, do you think that will make him do it again?
Any other suggestions??
ANYTHING WILL HELP!!!

I adopted a stray cat- and when I took her to the vet he said that my cat weights double what she should he gave me so "bland diet" food to feed her. she didn't eat the kibbles so i went back and he gave me some wet food with a "better aroma" now, my kitty still meows and beggs for food but somthimes when she is really hungry she'll eat. is this the right thing 2 do?

My cat is 9 years old. He is quite fat. I think maybe he has a hard time turning around and cleaning his back/rump area. His hair seems a bit greasy, even after I just bathe him. (which he hates)

Anyway, lately he has been getting these HUGE pustules. They are like zits, but several millimeters in diameter. You can squeeze them and MAJOR amounts of pus come out. The thing is, they don't go away. Over the past year he has developed about ten of these horrible things, and no matter how well I squeeze them, they come back. Sorry, I know that is gross.

Is there a special shampoo I can use on him? What about human acne wash? How often should I be washing him? Will he get used to it? Let me know if you need more information.

A week ago I sent my cat to go live with my family and my sis says that he is not eating much. Also today he threw up salivia, I think. Is he depress or should I take him to a vet?
