If you like a cat who fights all the time and sprays your house from top to bottom, then I suppose you would disagree. Otherwise, I'd alter it to say "The only good tom is one who is at the vet getting his huevos cut off"

They're great for mousing. That's about all. Unless you get him whacked, then MAYBE you've got a chance.
The only exceptions I've ever seen are males who have been raised inside from day one and have a loving family to occupy his time and energy.
