We use fresh step right now. I really like the clumping ability of it, but the smell makes me nauseous. That fake floral crap just kills me. Does anyone have any experience with other litters that clump very well and don't have such an assaulting fragrance? Also, where do you find it, we only have a Petco near us in case it's a specialized brand that only certain pet stores carry. Thanks in advance!

Fresh Step has an unscented version. It actually was being made before the "floral crap". I agree it smells awful.
Fresh Step also makes a "cedar" that I really like. It's great on odors and had no scent that I can tell. I do see little pieces of cedar in it though. I get it at Target or PetSmart.
I also like Ever Clean Cedar. It's a clumping variety, doesn't smell of cedar, and is made by the Clorox Co., which also makes the Fresh Step Products. I've only seen this at PetSmart.
I have 5 cats, three litter boxes which I clean every 2-3 days and there is no "cat odor" in my house. I won't use a product that doesn't control odor.

You should try Natural Pine. I used to work at the Humane Society and that was the only litter that would eliminate the smell. There is very little fragrance and it clumps well. It is also safe for the environment. Here is a link if you'd like to check it out, you can get it from a Petco too. http://www.naturesearth.com/

Good Luck!

I use Arm & Hammer multi-cat litter. It does have a little dust when pouring into the litter box. If you want to spend a bit more, there is a litter called World's Best Cat Litter, it's all natural made from corn with no fragrance added.

Arm & Hammer Scoopable is great. It clumps, has almost no odor, and it's the only one that I'll buy for my kitties now. It is available at almost all stores, such as Wal Mart, Kroger, Target, etc.

I use Arm & Hammer multi-cat....Ive noticed several others recommend it as well. It is very good. Also the crystals are really good....but if you have more than one cat it is VERY expensive. I dont mind the scented litters....but my cat HATES them. My darling Lily refused to go in the box until I changed it !!!

If you haven't used crytals, try them. I would never go back to clumping. Crystals never ever smell and they last for ages.
