no, not very good really, I expect she's loney and getting no input or love, which all small things need. If you report her, they might not take her,as they'll say she has food and shelter. Can you have her? Or politely suggest you know somewhere who really would love a cat?

She shouldn't have got a kitten if she's not prepared to give it some of her time.Older cats can be left on there own for spells but not kittens who need company. I don't know if it's fair of her to get another kitten to keep it company but it would be better than it being left on it's own, keep an eye on the situation and if it's happening a lot have a word with the cats protection league or SPCA.You know what is going on so in a way are responsible as well.

A man over the road does this to his kittens and they frequently meow everywhere. They are mad little things now and run everywhere they get no attention and jump up at you. I think phoning up a vet and asking if it is ok to do this. The cat will grow up un happy and will be a bad habit in your street. Of course Im basing this on my own knowledge I could be completly wrong. See what a vet says and if needs must be approach this neighbour and ask if it is ok to do so, and maybe if you want to offer to go 20 mins every day to give it love and attention.

Leaving a young kitten alone for long periods of time and/or very often is detrimental to their development and mental health. The kitten could grow up reclusive, shy, and scared if your neighbor continues to do this.

Sad but yeah as long as it has food and water it will be fine. Maybe will be a bit lonely, poor wee thing. I woudl never leave my cats on their own overnight and they are 5 yrs old

If I were the neighbor, I'd consider getting a second kitten or cat. They would keep each other company.

My cats are just fine and I have worked full time and have gone on a couple vacations too since they were 6 weeks old. It would not hurt for her to get another kitten, then it will have someone to play with while she is gone.

If it was an adult can then being left alone sometimes is okay as long as there's plenty of food and water, but no so with a kitten; they need companionship if they are to grow into healthy well balanced adults.

That's probably not very good for the kitten, esp since its just a baby. The kitten probably does get scared and cries. Maybe you can tell your neighbor, ask her if she needs a cat sitter - maybe you can watch it for her sometimes?

That's not on, poor wee kitty. even if she is leaving enough to eat and drink and they do sleep alot leaving it alone for all that time is not good. why did she get it if she was going to do that??!!
