It's NOT normal for your cat to lose ALL of their fur...shedding doesn't mean losing it all.
Check out this site for more info & make an appointment with your vet.

The sensible thing to do would be to take her to the Vet! It could be caused by a great many things. It isn't normal for a cat to lose it's fur and if it has happened very quickly and the fur loss is over a lot of her body then the cause needs to be found!

Hello,
Definately take your cat to the vet.
There are a few things I can think of that can cause fur loss.
1. Ringworm. A bacterial skin infection which is highly contagious - even to humans. This is usually treated with a skin bath lotion & antibiotics.
2. Flea infestation/allergy. Easily remedied with flea drops, possibly antibiotics if the skin is infected.
3. Overgrooming. Usually caused by stress. If your vet rules out infection, you need to remove the cause of the stress. Your vet will probably prescribe antibiotics or steroids.
Hope this helps.x

It could be stress especially if you have had any major changes around your home. Hormonal if recently in heat, had a litter or spayed.
A cat can get a food allergy even if being on the same food for years. Is there any redness or irritation in the pads of her paws?
Has she been checked for ringworm? I would make sure she didn't have ringworm because that is transferrable to humans and is not pleasant.
Somethings go away on their own but you really need to seek medical advise on this one - it could be tricky and will be well worth a trip to the vet.
Good luck!

I think a visit to the vets is best. May be a skin infection which Vet would sort out quickly. Or it could be something more serious. .

It could be mange, a thyroid disorder, ringworm or flea allergy. Only a vet can diagnose or treat any of those conditions. If she's bald and you can see skin, thats not normal and she needs to see a vet.
Its not a normal time of year for her to be losing her winter coat. Shedding doesn't make them bald.

firstly how old is your cat? if its quite old it could be an age thing,
or this could be some kind of skin irritation, ie flea's or mites, have you treated your cat for any of these? on the bald parts of your cat if the skin itself if flaky then mites would be my best guess!!!
hope this helps
