I have two finches, one male and the other male of course. They are about a year old. About three weeks ago they started to lay eggs. At the end of the first week there were 7 eggs, which surprised me alot. They have been sitting on the eggs for two weeks but since the beginning of this week they didn't sit on them at all. And since the hatching period is 15 days I thought that the eggs were infertile and removed the darkest coloured eggs. I left the newer 4 eggs in the nest. But they aren't sitting on them at all. What is wrong. Did I do the right thing? Should I remove all the eggs or should I just let them stay there? Thank you very much for your help already.

I just got a pair a week ago and never noticed them napping before. They are both in their nest sleeping. Is this normal behavior? Should I remove the nest?

I went out today and forgot to turn off the oven.
When I got home 4 hours later there was no smoke that I could see and my parrot was sitting half way down her cage. I opened window and doors immediately to let in fresh air.
I have removed my parrot from the room and she is now on her play stand but she is splashing water all over her. I usually bath her in the morning. Do you think she is ok or coule there be underlying inhalation problems I should look out for. she is talking and acting normally.

I own a 4 year old female lesser sulpher crested cockatoo and I just have a question about something she does. Everytime we hold her or squeeze her in our arms she begins to shake and she tries to go flat...I'm just wondering why she does this! Thanks!

I kept on asking what ı can do to stop its nails from bleeding and now it died. I want to buy another but ı'm afraid that the same things will happen again. Do you cut the nails of your own birds? Is this really necessary? Their beak sometimes grows a lot, do we have to take them to a vet doctor?

My bird has liver disease and the pet store recommended I get him Roudybush Formula AL Liver Care pellets. It's available through prescription only. I have an appointment with the avian vet next friday, and I will ask her about it then.

I've googled it and haven't found much about it. Has anyone had experience with it or heard anything about this? Please let me know.

When feeding ducks at a lake, we discovered a nest of 5 duck eggs. They were not the correct temperatur and there were ants around the eggs. We believed them to be dead but still wanted to give it a go and researched home made incubators. We have a styrofoam cooler and a heating pad, moist towels for humidity and a thermometer. QUESTION: How long must we wait before we can candle them to see if there is growth? I really want these to hatch but think they are dead and need to know how long to wait before there will be growth in how many days (already have been incubating for 1 day) and what to look for! Thanx

I just adopted a female patagonian conure, who is obviously a "man's" bird. She has taken a liking immediately to my fiance', but she bites at me when I touch her, unless HE hands her to me. Is there any way I can remedy this? Ive owned birds my entire life, but Ive never been disliked by one before. what do i do?

I'm planning on getting a pigeon to raise from a friend. Hopfully I might be able see her this coming weekend. I'm hoping the birds will have an egg, but I'm little concerned, I did plenty of research on hand raising and incubation so I 'll possibly suceed where I failed the last time. But can anyone offer me any good reassuring advice?

A pet shop is asking S$900 for a Timneh. I think it's a bit expensive.
