i got a teil today. In the pet store I was able to hold it and it was pretty friendly. They told me to leave it in the cage for an hour. I was trying to pet it and it hissed at me and tried to bite me. what can I do to get it to be like it was in the pet store. It is a hand raised bird from a bird store.

i can't even go to the bathroom half the time, the only thing that seems to work is covering her cage for the time being, but i don't want to do that all the time. i have a room designated for smoking because of her or if it's not cold out i go outside. i can just go out the sliding glass door where she can see me and she screams. i don't won't to promote the bad behavior by picking her up or letting her out of the cage if the door is closed. i don't know what to do and i am starting to lose patience. please help.

I got my sun conure at 3 weeks old, and it just opened up his eyes last week, anyway, I have been handfeeding it for two weeks now and I still haven't named it....I am not sure if it is a boy or girl, so I would like to have a neutral name, so if anyone out there will help me come up with a good name for it, I sure would appreciate it. BTW!!!!! It is starting to grow it's feathers...it is a fuzz ball right now...LOL!!!!

2 of my budgies have weird stuff on their feet and beak area, and I can't take them to the vet, so I was thinking the best thing to do is release them. I just want them to die quickly and not suffer. My other budgie has beautiful pink feet.

A thief was robbing a house, when he heard an eeiry noise saying, "Whooooooooo Jesus is going to get you!" "Whooooooooo Jesus is going to get you" The thief was suddenly frozen looking around for where the sound was coming from. I have canaries that are kind of droopy. I have given them Baytril, and Ivomectrin, according to the vet's orders. My sickest canary wants to spend most of his time under a red heat-lamp.

I have others that just don't seem very playful and energetic.

They are all under 3 years old.

Is it possible that they are lazy and out of shape? Or are they sick?

What can I do about this problem?

I think my budgie may be blind [except for possibly blurry shapes]. She is completley yellow, and has red eyes [albino?] She has run into many things including my closet door, my white closet door, yet she hasn't flown anywhere near a mirror or window. Might she be blind, or am I just parinoid?

I had left the room for about 15 minutes,and when I came back, my budgie was stretching it's neck forward and opening it's beak,kind of like it was choking. This event is happening about every 8 seconds, and it's been going on for maybe a minute. My budgie (Pipi) doesn't seem to have any symptoms of sickness,so whats going on?
