They are still fed by the parents, but mom laid 3 eggs again which I removed as suggested. The oldest baby tries to fly every chance it gets, with crash landings. The second one is also starting now. They try to climb around the cage, but I don't know if they can find their way back to the nesting box so I put them back. Is it ok? Will the mother be upset if I take away her eggs everytime she lays one? Will she continue to lay eggs as they go missing all the time?
It also seems like they are trying to collect nesting material around the cage, but they have a nesting box already. How long will she continue laying more eggs?

I have a female canary and i've had her for a year, but she still hasn't had any eggs. She was a baby when i got her, but shouldn't she be mature by now? What is breeding season for canaries? And could my female be a male? The pet store said she was female, but i'm not so sure. I do have a nest and nesting material in the cage. I got my male about six months ago, at least the pet store said he was male. He was mature when i got him.

My parrot keeps picking at himself and his back feathers have been gone for quite a while. He picks himself to a point where he's cutting himself. He has open wounds that he's created. What can I do to make him stop?

i am getting 6 mallard ducklings any day now. i have a part dotson, part rat terrier dog. he is very playful and nice. i know that at first, he will be very territorial and bark at them, but will he grow to love them? - not KILL them? we will keep them in a cage that is off the ground. my dog lives in a fenced-in area that we hope to let the ducks run around in when they get older. will my dog always hate my ducks???????????

I put in a nesting box for my two parakeets, my female keeps eating off her cuttlebone, and is losing feathers. She also spends alot of time at the bottom of the cage. Is this normal for a parakeet to do if she is about to lay an egg?

Of course, finding 2 1/2 foot feathers on the floor is enough to make someone freak a little, but is something wrong?

I was walking to work and heard a cockatiels whistle. And I saw two crows on the ground infront of me – n I went UH OH. So I watched cuz I thought the cockatiel would have just been wild and wouldn’t have landed on the ground so I didn’t think I could do anything to help him. And then the two crows spotted him and flew straight for him, got him to the ground, so I ranned as fast as my little legs would carry me, into the yard of some work place (mind u while people were probably looking at me really strange going wtf is she doing). And tried to get him, but he flew into the window of the building. And then I got him n carried him to work.

He's eating now, and he's so friendly and cute. He has no tail feathers and really sad eyes.

Do you have any ideas of what i could call him? I think Crow is a good name?! What do you all think?
