how to feed bird?

You didn't mention what kind of bird, different story if it's domestic vs wild birds you're talking about. If it's domestic. I hope you didn't buy before doing any research on it. Go to the pet store and buy the appropriate food for the bird + anything else it needs.

If you're talking about wild birds get a bird feeder, different types of feeders can attract different birds. Thistle silos are great for goldfinch, redpolls, siskins and a few others.

Good old sunflower seeds (small black ones are the best) attract a variety, from jays, cardinals, goldfinches, house finches, purple finches, sparrows (luckily house sparrows prefer other types of seed), mourning doves, etc , sunflower seeds is a great way to start.

You can also get a peanut or suet feeder, woodpeckers, nuthatches, chickadees, etc are frequent visitors.

There many other types of feeders and different types of seed but the ones I mentioned are a good place to start off.

I find sunflower hearts (sunflower seed with the outer skin
removed) the best alround feed for all the garden birds.
Ive been feeding birds for over 10 years, in the winter months
i get 30-40 goldfinch at a time.
