Or do they have to be inseminated? This isn't a joke I swear. They are horrible looking.

My female mallard has layed eggs in our flower beds. I have a small enclosed shelter (with a small opening) on the island of our pond but for some reason, she wants to use the flower bed instead of the shelter. I am afraid predators will get her and the eggs if she stays where she is in the flower bed. Plus, the males are hanging around and messing up the flower beds. If I move her to the shelter with the eggs (or put her in a cage with the eggs), will she sit on them or reject them now that I have touched them?

He sits on his cage and shrieks, squawks, and is generally loud especially in the morning. My sister says he is finding his voice, but I have heard that unhappy parrots are very loud. Should I be worried.

I think seymour is around 5 months old.

I have a flycatcher. I know he is a wild bird, but he chose to come live with me. He was on my husband's car last summer when he got out of work and he opened the door, the bird flew in and rode home on his shoulder.
We had to feed him bird formula for the entire winter because he wouldn't take solids until the past month. I'm not sure what to feed him because flycatchers aren't pets and there aren't a lot of resources for me. On a daily basis I've been giving him mealworms, blueberries, some cockatiel bird seed (He eats them in small amounts, though I don't know if he should eat them, which is why I ask), and some millet (also not sure if this is good but he likes it). I have given him strawberries and I also give him all the potato bugs or spiders from my basement.
I've tried to train him to feed himself but he's clueless. He wont eat unless I give it to him on a skewer or I put it in his dish. I can't set him free but I want him to be happy. How can I make him happy??

I find it is confusing to use two terms and have even heard that 'parakeet' it not the correct name for them. If this is true, then is there such a bird as a parakeet? If you know please give some detail.

I'm not looking for articles; I've been looking those up myself. Knowledge from personal experience is preferred.

I'm trying to figure out what parrot to get. Right now I have two lovebirds but would like another parrot.

I'm looking for one that is on the smaller side (a foot or a little bit less, not as small as a lovebird), will sit still outside the cage or while I'm holding them, one that has the potential to talk very well, one that is known for having the tendency to be cuddly and not nippy.

Thanks!

He's behaving as normal - eating (same food as always), drinking (fresh water, of course), playing, chirping and has a clean cage.

Even the best of pilots and captain cannot navigate his directions without the help of radar, satellite or any other instrument. So what sense do birds have that they migrate thousands of miles across land and ocean and reach their desired destination accurately.
