I just got a pair a week ago and never noticed them napping before. They are both in their nest sleeping. Is this normal behavior? Should I remove the nest?

Sure it's normal for them to nap in the day. My bird does daily if nothing is going on.

If you want them to breed, you can leave the nest in place. If not, remove it.

All of my birds take naps throughout the day. Elle, my DHY Amazon is sitting next to me right now on a playstand and he's napping.

Completely normal. Finches are very busy, so they need to take frequent breaks throughout the day.

Unless you want them to breed, remove the nest, they do not need it to sleep in. They are getting broody, which means they will try to raise a family. This is not necessary and can endanger the life of your hen.

It is normal and maybe it is a sign that they are feeling safe enough to relax and take a nap.
