Actually, a really good addition would be a few Button Quail. They help by eating some of the seeds that the messy Cockatiels will drop. They tend to like to hang out on the floor, so be sure to keep things clean.

I'd say it depends on the bird. Like here, I have an Umbrella Cockatoo that's best friends with a DHY Amazon. They would be fine together. I have two macaws here (I'm fostering one) that hate each other. My Military Macaw gets freaked out by little birds, so that wouldn't work, but my Military would be happy hanging out with the U2 and the DHY Amazon. Then we have an Orange Winged Amazon that hates everyone and wouldn't be happy with any other birds...

Just depends on the birds and the relationships in the group. You can put them together for periods of time every day, but I wouldn't leave them together indefinitely. That can be pretty dangerous (see Birdtalk magazine's little picture fest of what birds can do to each other a few issues back).

Once you have them, you'll need to introduce them and see how they interact with each other in your home, and then if you feel comfortable enough you can put them in an enclosure together and see how they do.

I personally know a woman that has a 200 foot aviary and has 30 different species in there, all intermingled. She doesn't breed, (she shakes eggs) and she just keeps a close eye on them all.

I wouldn't put any other species of birds in there.

You'd have to keep the sizes of birds relatively the same or risk some of your birds being badly injured. Love birds and cockatiels can get along when they don't have to share space (outside of their own cages) but must be supervised and I'd never put a love bird in with a budgie. They're too aggressive.

Never put hookbills in with non-hookbills. That is never a level playing field.

I agree 100 % with the previous answer. I wouldn't put anything else in there. In fact, I would been a bit concerned for your cockatiels. They are fairly placid birds, but budgies are known to be toe biters. They are not meant to be housed with other species.
