If I were to hatch duck eggs then release them at a lake where ducks thrive would this be OK? Would they be OK without a mother? I would only release after several weeks and are grown some and stable.

If we were to hatch duck eggs but live in the city but know of a lake where ducks are at would it be ok to hatch the eggs but release the ducklings at the lake without a mother but after they grow for 3 or so weeks?

I saw a bird at my bird feeder. It's body is a deep black and the head of the bird is brown. It's a smaller type of bird. I've never seen one like it before, but there were several out there today. Does anyone have any idea what kind of bird this might have been.

I'm in Kentucky if that helps any.

My cat knocked over my parakeets cage and both got out. One was caught by the cats and the tail feathers were completely torn out. There's no apparent blood or sign of severe injury. What would you say would be the best way of helping them be more comfortable and a safe/easy way for the birds feathers to grow back?You're answers are very appreciated.

i see many people have white leghorns others have buff orps, etc. i have broilers but want to do some breeding w/ the leghorns. just wondering for sales and stuff what would go the best (people want more). they are cage-free and are fed vegitarian diet. please explain your answer.

By chick I mean baby bird, so don't tell me "Oh, I'd love it if my bird made noises like that!"
Nala, my three year old female cockatiel, only makes clicking noises. I've had her since she was about two months old, and she never whistles, but more like a "irrrk" noise like nost baby birds do...I noticed when I saw some baby tiels on youtube...Is there anything wrong, or is it hjust normal?
