i have received duck chicks in the mail and i think this might be safer - i cant see how eggs can hatch out after being subjected to the rigors of shipping. With ducklings, they actually ship them out the day they hatch because they dont eat the first day, they are still absorbing the yolk - so its rather safe to ship then they can eat and drink the day you get them. Check out this website Strombergschickens.com I have had great success with them, they ship eggs too if you want to try that, they are professionals that i trust and recommend.

Ebay has a bad reputation for people selling eggs which are not of the right breed. They know full well that you have to lodge a complaint within 7 days, and ducks take 28 days to hatch out.
I would suggest that you go to a reputable breeder and then you will know what you are getting. If you are in the USA, then you can find one on http://p072.ezboard.com/bbackyardchickens or if you are in the UK you can look in the back of Practical Poultry magazine.

dragonfi…
might want to check that seller again. i think you will find his egg listings are gone.
i'm pretty sure i know who you are looking at.
the sale of eggs is against ebay policy and will sooner or later get the seller NARUed.
also, check your sellers feedback. you might notice the complaints about all the eggs being dead.
helena,
as to this:
"They know full well that you have to lodge a complaint within 7 days,"
that is not true. you have 60 days in which to file a complaint with ebay.

When buying anything through eBay always check feedback. If they have a high percentage of negatives, don't deal with them. There are honest sellers and there are crooks.

I wouldn't trust e-bay with pets any kind but I've never bought eggs on e-bay.

Your better bet is to go to a reputable hatchery or eggbid.com.
