If we were to hatch duck eggs but live in the city but know of a lake where ducks are at would it be ok to hatch the eggs but release the ducklings at the lake without a mother but after they grow for 3 or so weeks?

ABSOLUTELY NOT! First of all, at 3 weeks old they are still going to be tiny. But, after that, why would you want to do that? These ducks won't know how to survive in the wild! And if they are domestics, then they are just going to compromise the habitat for the wild ducks! If you can't guarantee these ducklings a home either with you, or somewhere where they will be safe and well looked after, then please don't even start!

after they dont act like they need the mother anymore......them they are weaned, which would be okay for you to release them back into the wild. and cars will stop for them, it is illegal not to....
