well more like she found us. on july 4th we were watching fireworks in a field and she jumped in my car. we drove around asking for hours after, mostly everyone had left, asking if she was theirs. she smelled of beer and obviously had puppies, (she is only 9 months old). we brought her home and placed several ads in the local newspaper, called the sheriffs dept., put up signs by where we found her, called all the animal shelters and humane societies, called all the vets in the area to give them my info. and also called radio stations to announce that she was found. after two weeks of having her there has been nothing. we have fell in love with her and would love to keep her but what is the right thing to do? also note that she was found in poor condition. very skinny, dirty, scabs all over, and she needs to go to a vet. i don't have the money to spend on her if i'm not keeping her. what should i do at this stage of the game?

Today I did my daily routine of checking my Betta and there is this white stuff on him that kinda floats when he swims. (It's attached, but long enough to trail). Is it ick? I put some Cure-Ick in. 10 drops per gallon.

My dog has skin allergies/rash and the vet gave me some Omega 3 liquid caplets. I don't want to buy them from the vet again because it was really expensive. Where else can I get these for a cheap price?

Any ideas about making the dog leave the kittens alone. I don't care but it sure hurt my wife's feelings. I need to do something. I tied up the dog but its hot here and that is not a permenant solution. There are too many kittens and no place to take them. I live on a ranch. I thought about putting something on the kittens's fur that makes them undesirable for the dog. Vicks keeps the other dog from trying to mate with the bigger cats.

I have had a male kitty for about 2 months now, & he's probably about 3 1/2 to 4 months old. I adopted another last weekend, & she's about 2 months. I've had to keep them in separate rooms, of course. I know it's only been a week & it takes time, but the male kitty is still trying to pounce her & bite her neck. Although he's never hissed at her, I can't tell if he's being dominant aggressive or playing too rough. So, I've been monitoring their actions like crazy, just to make sure she doesn't get hurt, & then I have to put him in another room when it gets too rough. Otherwise, she just wants to play with him, & all he wants to do is bite! Do I just keep doing what I'm doing until he "gets over it" & chills out? He also has this whiny meow when I separate them for a few minutes. I was supposed to get him neutered this weekend, but I forgot to NOT feed him, so I have to wait. PLEASE don't tell me to do the obvious, I'm well aware. Will neutering affect his behavior? Thanks!

I don't have a lot of details, because I was just told by my mom that my cat apparently threw up last night some time. Should I be concerned? Or is this ok every once in a while? We've had Remy for 3 weeks as of tomorrow. He hasn't thrown up before while we've had him. He seemed pretty normal last night. And seems fine today. I don't know if this will help any but he is a 3 year old Domestic Short Hair Grey Tabby.

my cat injured herself and broke the ball in her hip. surgery is a last option and is really expensive, for me anyway. Vet says she may recover on her own and i am wondering if anybody can comment on the likeliehood of this happening without surgery. she is cage bound and will remain so for the next 4 - 6 weeks. it happened almost two days ago and i dont think she has eaten either...is this need for concern.

I have two goldfish. One became ill initially, just very lathergic but has since shown strong signs of a bacterial infection. The other has shown definite white spot symptoms with the salt grain like spots and hanging at the surface. he's also very lathergic.
I've moved the fish with the internal bacterial infection to a separate tank and treated him with the appropriate medication, and I've treated the other for white spot but I'm not sure if he may have an internal infection also. He is very lathergic and kind of has 2 small swollen areas at either end of his tummy, not a definite swelling but more making him look like an odd shape! His colour looks ok (except all the white specks) and he is eating ok. Should I be treating him for white spot or would I be better treating for bacterial infection? I dont think I can do both, I am using interpet 6 & 9.
I have checked the water and all levels are fine.
can anyone help?

Let's say, will they remember if anyone has been either nice or mean to them? I'm asking this because while I was out of town for a week, I asked a friend to look after my cat. It's been 6 months now, but every time my friend comes over my cat hides from my friend, and nothing in the world will make my cat come out. What gives?

I have my betta fish in a ft tank, With female guppies and platies, But sometimes i think he is bored or somthing, Sometimes he lies on the plants (real ones) Its like hes resting there or somthing, Is this normal? , I have check my ph,ammonia and its at normal levels, He looks healthy, Do you think he would be happier in a breeder net/box? ,Or just leave him in the community tank, None of the fish in there pick on him,

I got my 5 month old kitten spayed yesterday and the vet made her wear a cone. She's having a really difficult time eating and drinking water. I've tried a flat plate, a round one and nothing seems to work for her. Any suggestions?
