I have a female cat that is 19 years old presently, just like yours. She is going strong! She is still active, eats great, plays with the other 3 cats and 4 shelties pups & full of life.
I am always surprised by the quality of her life....she sure gives the Shelties a run for their money. She stands her ground when they want her to move. LOL The other 3 cats are 3 years, 15 years, & 9 years old and they make a split when they hear the pups coming. But not Mittens...she lays where she wants and hisses or bats them. LOL They have learned they better let her alone.
GREAT job keeping your cat so healthy!
Great question too! Wishing you many more years ahead with your "kitty".
Blessings, Patti

My oldest cat now was 18 in June. At the vet hospital where I work, the oldest cat who comes to us is 23 and still in relatively good health.

I looked in the Guinness record book a while back and at that time the oldest cat they had listed was 28.

My cat Rowdy lived to be twenty. We grew up together. She was a Russian Blue. That was the oldest cat I have had. Right now my cat Angel is 7 and she is the oldest.

We have been given our cat Sindy in 1983 as a kitten. We lost her to kidney failure in 1998, making her 15. It replaced into so tricky dropping her. We have been given her whilst i replaced into 11 and almost to start up extreme college (she got here to "see me off" on my first day, in my mum's arms) and whilst she died i replaced into 26 and married. She'd been there by all the upheavals and adjustments in my existence and that i ignored her plenty. I nonetheless miss her now.

My old cat Smudge made it to 22 but we had to put him to sleep after he came down with cancer. Sad but I like to think he had a great long life! Hope yours makes it longer!
