I just moved in 3 weeks ago and today I just saw a rat after waking up in the middle of the night and 2 medium sized cockroaches that I didn't even know where they came from just running around my desk.

Can my apartment manager do anything about it?

What can they do?

My two-month old terrier pup has this problem where sometimes he gets stiff all of a sudden and just shakes. When this happens, he can only lie on his side and is unable to move. Then his four limbs shake. One time while this happened he wet himself. He didn't used to be like this. Now lately. he can't even walk properly. He'll take a few steps then fall as if he is dizzy and the ground is moving. What is causing this and how can I help him??

Does anyone know what something like this will cost? We don't anticipate that there is anything wrong with the pup (fingers crossed) but what do vets charge? also, (for the future), does anyone know costs for neutering (male), or just general checkups in the future once it is fully grown? Thanks.

I'm looking after a friend's cat for a week while he's away, his normal person had to cancel at the last minute. I've not had a cat before so wondered what the basics of care are, as opposed to the other furry (and otherwise) critters I've had before! I assume it's quite simple but want to do the best I can.

She's a year old and full of beans, but seems pretty sensible.

I'm fine on the food and litter tray, I've made her up a bed area in a warm spot with a blanket and have hung a dangly toy for her to play with. Sadly, we can't let her out in this area (and I'm afraid she'd get lost anyway) but she has plenty of indoor space to run around in.

Anything else that might help? She's a little smelly, will a bath help or will it upset the balance of her skin?

What treats can I give her?

my mom and i recently adopted 2 month-and-a-half old puppies. the lady who gave them to us said they were healthy and ate well, but ever since we brought them home theyve had diarea and wont eat much...well, they do eat, but they dont eat out of the bowl, but they eat the little bits spread out on the floor....whats up with that? and what can i do to stop the diareea?

i just noticed a few days ago that he is starting to bit his nails.
i've cut his nails, but he still keeps chewing on them and sometimes the skin around it splits and starts to bleed.
What can i do to stop him from doing that?
and what age do border collies/kelpies live up to?

My blue heeler delivered a litter of 6 healthy pups on 7/7. The puppies are all healthy and thriving.

Today was the first day I didn't stay with the dog and puppies all day, and a few minutes ago I came into the living room and found 2 puddles of vomit, poop in one spot and diarrhea (big puddle) in another spot. There's also mess on the couch in three spots; they're orangey-yellow, not brown like the diarrhea or yellow like the vomit.

This is totally out of character for her, and she was fine yesterday. She ate all her food when I fed her, she's had plenty of water, and is not acting sluggish.

Is it normal for a dog to get sick like this a few days after delivering, and to act oddly? It's 5:20 in the morning so I can't get her to the vet for several hours, and I don't know if I should separate her from the puppies long enough to take her in even when they open.

I spent 45 minutes looking for help online, nothing. I don't know what to think or do.

A few months ago my fiances mom was having trouble with her boyfriend, they were breaking up and she thought he was being mean to one of her dogs, so we brought him to our house for a few weeks, well when we took him back, her pit bull didnt want the dog back in the house, they fought REALLY bad, like bloody bad, so we decided to keep him, he is a really good dog except he pees EVERYWHERE and poops everywhere, I dont know what to do! I have tried rubbing his nose in it and sticking him outside, its just not working! My fiances mom use to put papers on the floor for him but i dont really want to do that, i could put them in the basement but I would really rather not, my other 2 dogs are potty trained and i dont want them going on the paper too. I cant get rid of him so that is not an option, I just need some way to potty train him. Any ideas? Please help!!!

I mated my two german shepherds on the 23rd of june. Two week later she is still bleeding why is this is it normal for her to still be bleeding as it is not a lot of blood.

I know this is a strange question but my lab puppy is eight weeks old and is sleeping alot, like five or six hours a day...and then sleeping all night is this normal? I've only had her four days so I'm a bit paranoid so could somebody put my out of my misery?

Well when i bought bear 9 months ago he was just 7 wks old and the person told me he was full blooded siberian husky. then the son of the family who was 23 said he was timber wolf husky mix. he does have a summer haircut here are pictures of him.

I know with cats, that the kittens shouldn't leave until 12 weeks old, to learn social skills from the parent. But what about dogs? Some one has told me it's 8 weeks old, someone else has told me 6. Who's right?

Hello, I would like to train my Labrador to show....Does anyone know of any wonderful websites or books on training a lab to show. I know some people who show labs have trainers that work with the dog. Is this neccary or do some people train and show their own dogs. Any information on showing labs would be great. Thanks. Cheryl

First off I bought a kingsnake about 5 days ago he is about 1.5 feet long and about as wide as your index finger. I have him/her In a ten gallon tank with locking screen lid, aspen bedding, 2 shelters one on the hot side one ontop of the underneath heater, water dish, and 2 thermometers. the temperature in the day is on the hot side around 80-82 and the cooler side around 72 and durring the night on the hot side its around 75 and on the cooler side 70.. i know this is a bit cold so any tips on warming it up? i have a undertank heater big enough for a 20 gallon tank.. so i think it would work. He shedded the day i got him, and i fed him yesterday and he hasnt regurgated yet.. so i think thats a good sign. i havent seen him poop yet and have only seen him drink water twice. i am feeding him one pinky every 4 days. he is very gentle and loves being held, so im just wondering if there is anything else i need to do or if there is something im doing wrong, ive done alot of reading so yea

I am trying to decide what type of aquarium to have and what type of fish to get. I am thinking of having gouramis and tetras, but not sure. Can someone give me a list of 1) good beginner coldwater fish, and 2) good beginner tropical fish ? I'm trying to decide, and it's difficult. How many and what kind of fish could I put in a 12 gallon tank? Or smaller (my mom is being stubborn, and also I have to have this aquarium in a dorm room; I was thinking of getting an Eclipse System 12 aquarium).

Advice?? Suggestions? Experienced fishkeepers, please help.

Hi,

I have a 22L tropical tank setup. Currently, I have 2 peppered catfish and 2 guppies (1 male, 1 female). What would be the maximum number of fish for this size tank, and what are your suggestions for fish to add? I am also considering adding some glass shrimp - if I can just find a store that sells them.

What are your thoughts?

I put a large shell in my fish tank. It's been in there for about six months. The shell is usually a red-ish brown color but when it drys out it stays white. I tried scrubbing it with a tooth brush but it still has the white color. Any ideas on how to get the shell back to the natural color? Does this mean the shell color is fake? Any help at all!!?? I really liked this shell.

I bought my cat a year ago - she was approx. a year old at the time, she'd just been spayed and de-clawed a month previously to my getting her. She walked around a little funny for awhile which I expected and it's taken her a while to get used to things around our home but I've noticed a few odd behaviors I'm a little concerned about. She sits for long periods of time staring into dark spaces (ie: RR w the light off, closet.. etc.) I sometimes find her sitting in the dark, in the shower... She will so intently be observing the dark sometimes that she'll startle only after you've walked past her and actually turned on the light. I think she might be "special" But other times she acts completely normal, a little bitchy, a little needy, a little independent, a little sassy, a little sweet... you know, like a cat. Does this sound out of the ordinary?
