Our Malti-poo is 14 years old and can barely move enough to eat. We don't want to put her down. We just want her to go while she's home with her family. She doesn't seem to be in pain, just lies down and looks up at us. She can eat soft food and drinks her water, but has lost control of her bladder. I want to know the best things to feed her and the best way to take of her in her final days. I hate just watching her like this, but I want her to know she's being loved and taken care of. Help...??

This is my first dog in since I was a little girl. She is a pug, a cutie. She was given tome and I got her for my son, but she was sick & right now she is getting treated. I really can't take her outside because where we live and her being sick. She's been alot of work but I despartly want her to stop doing her business all over my Apt. It's driving me nuts. Need advice on best way to train and Quick Please !!!
Also if you know of the cheapest way to treat her ( Demodectic Mange)(demodicosis) if anyone has heard of this.
Instead of going to the Vet all the time.
I really do not want to let her go because I can't afford to take care of her. We have grown attached!
I thought I Ask Too! All information helps. The best way to treat her and train her!

I am having a horrible time with live crickets. Cricket keepers are crappy, and I am totally lost at how to keep my crickets healthy and full of nutrients for my young leos. Both of them let me hand feed them the dead crickets so I was wondering if maybe they would let me hand feed them the canned crickets? Canned crickets are just easier to coat with calcium and vitamins. I just need some help so if anyone would PLEASE help me with this before it drives me crazy, thank you.....I HATE CRICKETS...arghhh

I am interested in birds and find them to be quite fun.

Since I don't have time because of my work hours, I was wondering would budgies be a good choice for a person who doesn't have time to put too much care into them other than spend a minute or two feeding them everyday?

My husband and I just bought a three toed box turtle at the pet store today. They said shes about a year old. She is in a 50 gallon tank with enough clean water, romaine lettuce, pears, and carrot.s Douglas fur to borrow in and some logs. And ofcourse that expendisive light we had to get with her.
I was just wondering... Her one eye looks sunken in and it waters up alot. I think it might an infection of some sort. Does anyone know how to go about treating it?
And any suggestions on caring for her?
Shes so cute!

Hello, I had to put my dog down after having him for 15 years, Me an my husband got him a year after we met, when we was dating an had no kids. Now 15 years later an married with 3 kids, I had my dog longer then my kids an longer then i knew my father, (he died when I was 8). Its been 5 month since hes been gone, an I want another dog, but cant bear hurting the feeling of my other dog,(thats sounds weird) My friend gave me a 2 yr old cocker spaniel, (That what mine was) she got it from her aunt how could not take care of it, an it was dirty, it hair was suck together. It was awful, it took me 3 day to clean, cut an wash him. but i had to find him a new home cause i just didn't think i could get to like him like y other dog, Am I wrong? Is it to eaarly for another dog?

I've noticed this with out adult 5 year-old cat, and didn't think anything of it, until I saw my new 8-week old kitten does the same thing.

When they eat their kibble, they do this little shake of their head when picking it up. I thought maybe it's dust or something, but have eliminated that as cause, and have no other possibility - can anyone tell me why they do this?

When he sits in my lap he has his eyes wide open and jumps at everything. Will he eventually come around? I only feed him from my hand which he rarely takes to make sure he knows hands= good. i have another rat who is completely fine with me and likes to be with me. Is there anything else i can do to help him come around and want to be with me like the other rat?

I have two rats that i got last year about around this time of year. There names are Cookie and Ruby. I have noticed that Cookie thinks she is the big shot in the cage so she i think beats up Ruby. Because i look at Ruby and she has a TON of bites under her mouthe. It looks really sad. They are both girls. And they both came from the same litter. I also got them from a breeder. But she is a good breeder. Not a bad one that just does it for fun or what ever you would say. I was just wondering is there anything that i could rub on the scabs? I also have noticed that she seems kind of sick. But i am not sure if she is sick for sure. I am just mostly worried about the bites under her jaw/mouthe. I just need to know if i can put something on them to make them go away or make SOME of them go away. Or even something that would make them a little better.
Thank You!

I have two pomeranian puppies that are 12 weeks old. I was wondering if it would be okay if I gave them a bath. I dont have any dog shampoo either, so would it be okay if I used pantene? If not then I can just go to a pet store and buy one, but they were rolling around in their pee so their all dirty.
Thanks.

We have a pair of cockatiels and I was wondering if the egg is no good, do they stop laying on them after a while or do they just keep sitting on them is we don't take them out?
We aren't sure if the eggs are any good anymore and was wondering if they stop on their own or if we don't take them out, if they keep laying until we take them out....

He's about 2 months old. We've had him for about 3 weeks & he hasn't gone to the vet yet. My boyfriends sister is a Vet Tech supervisor, so she gave him a basic check up, no blood work, all physical & he's in great condition. Very big for his age. He was in a litter of house cats, so no fleas, litter-trained when we got him. And just an hour ago, he has an oval shaped movable bump on the side of his neck. We have two older cats, 2 years & 3 years old. They both play with him & I know tumors don't sprout out in a matter of a day. But I'm a bit worried about him, it doesn't hurt him when I put pressure on it & he's off playing around with the older cats again. He probably just got bit on the neck & it swelled, right? Any other suggestions?

When is the 1st molt?? My bird hasn't really lost any feathers but one tail feather i believe got broken off and one grew in a different spot so I don't think he's molting hes too young. Is it possible to tell gender before the 1st molt? My tiel has (or had) 2 striped feathers til one popped out and the rest were solid. Ive seen so very light striping on the edge of the feathers next to the fully striped and some light stripes around the legs. Is this male or female? (remember NO MOLT YET)

She is crate trained, and will still potty in the house without whining or going to the door. We always take her out the same door, and she goes outside every time we take her out, which is frequently, but when she has free time, in a ated area, she will just go without letting us know she has to.

Theres this huge hype going around about not breeding guinea pigs today. But whose to say I'm going to sell them? And what if I'm just going to help them along in their natural way of building up into a small colony? can you blame me for wanting to observe their actual way of life?
Is it my fault that I in every 5 guinea pigs die? ever think it could be the breeders fault because their not being taken care of properly? eg. 8 pregnant guinea pigs plus young litter plus a few males arent going to get the attention they need. I've housed at least 50 pregnancies and only ONE guinea pig died. And i think that was simply because if exhaustion. She delivered all the babies fine and died in the hours afterward. Luckily my other female took on her babies mothering them for her. ABack to the point. I think before you people go calling other people cruel, selfish and inconsiderate for wanting to breed, that maybe you should know their situation before you go assuming. Thanks
