It would mainly be a one person pet, owned by a twelve year old. Something that would like her quite a bit, and be gentle, with a not long but not short lifespand?

While the blood test is not necessary, the vet recommends the test to see if the puppy will be ok while under. They said that I can sign a waiver if I do not get the blood test, but that they are not responsible if he dies during operation.
My problem is that the blood test is $65 and I cannot afford that at this time. I adopted the puppy from the pound, and they informed me that I have to have it done on this date or they will take him from me. I have already spent over $300 on him over the past 6 weeks since I got him, and cannto afford the $65 right now.
My question is, is the blood test really necessary for the procedure? What are the chances of him dying during the neutering?
I have asked if they will allow payment plans, 30 now, 35 in 2 weeks, but they won't allow it.
I love my little GunnerLee and I surely don't want him to die, so if anyone knows how important the blood work is to be put under during operation, please let me know. Thanks

Sadie, my pride and joy is a 12 weeks old german shepherd/lab mix. She is the smartest dog I have ever had in my life. And it doesn't take long for her to learn. Two or three times showing her and saying the command and she knows how to do it and remembers.

In the few weeks we have had her she already knows how to sit, stay, shake a paw (and the other one), come and we are working on teaching her to roll over.

The problem is I have never had a dog that has mastered all those commands and I am having such a wondersul time teaching her I want to keep going.

What are some other commands/tricks that i can teach my new puppy??

I have changed my mind about getting a bunny because of the smell and I would have to change the cage very often!!Should my next pet be a Gerbil or a Dwarf Hamster? They both seem very nice pets and I can not decide. Can someone do a vs on both of the animals to compare and see which pet is right for me.I have experince with Syrian Hamsters and I have one right now and had my another syrian died of old age.I have a critter trail one cage and was wondering if it is right for a gerbil or a dwarf hamster. Thanks!!

If you own some, and bred them, I had a sea monkey thats pregnant. Ever since the eggs came out I saw pink stuff at the top of the tank. Is that the eggs or is that a problem

If you dont know what seamonkeys r just go to this site >>>> http://www.sea-monkey.com/html/aboutsm/whatarethey.html
or if its not blue and underlined, copy and paste the site in the adress box.

I have a rescue mare and we have given her a 4-shot combo and West Nile vaccination. She is due again for West Nile and I was wondering if I should do her Booster at the same time. We've read that Boosters are only needed if they are around lots of other horses... she lives with her 2-month-old colt and 2 other mares (no foals) currently. However, being a rescue (we got her a couple months ago) I think she might need it. Any suggestions...?

Come with ALL their vacinations and spayed/neutered?

It really depends on your local shelter- my dog came with NOTHING done. But his neuter was paid for from the adoption fee. Even with that paid I still spent $130 on shots, tests, and preventatives at the vet.

I'm not complaining- i just keep reading 'adopt and it'll have all it's shots, be fixed etc'. Maybe if you have a great shelter- but in a rural area- probably not.

I rescued a turtle that was in the middle of the street and have had it around 5 months, is it too late to release him back to a creek or river? He is only about two or three inches in size. Will he still know how to live on his own?
