Yeah...you can make it stop,,,,but first you will have to learn how to make the sun stop shining and try to figure out how to cure a cold,or reverse the flow of the nile,or......umm I know,,,you could flap your arms and fly like a bird!!!!
Once you have mastered these things, then you will be able to stop a parrot from mocking.........or you could try a towel over its cage!

Don't feel bad I own a Cockatoo and he squawked all day. The the vet mention about leaving his cage open so he could go in and out as he wanted to. I took him to the vet and they trimmed his flight wings back and it worked the squawking stopped and he is more happy and content. He talks when I am not home and now him and the dog get along better to..
They are just looking for attention and will do anything for it. And my bird is 13 years old and travels with us all the time just like the dog does. He is a part of the family.
I never cover him.

USE YOUR HEAD MAN.... Sorry I wasn't thinking. A parrot that mock's you and now me shouting... any way. Don't you have like a rubber band? watch the watch.... beak rubber band... beak rubber band.
Seriously it does work and it won't hurt the bird. When it gets to carried away slip a rubber band over it's beak. I watched a friend of mine do this with a Macaw and it was amazing. after about a week the bird even new what the rubber band was for and all he had to do was see it and he would zip it... so to speak...lol (no pun intended). So to speak...lol sorry but it is funny. Well bye now. Well bye now... Well bye now.

It's probably just trying to talk to you. It must be very bonded to you, so congratulations! When it is driving you nuts, take it to another room and leave it with the radio or the TV (sometimes they'll even learn to use the remote) and it will talk to the radio and TV and most likely get all the talking out of his system.
If you need more training advice, go to http://www.cockatootrainer.com/
Good luck!
edit: don't cover the cage or the bird will just learn to make MORE noise, and to make noise at night when the cage is covered.

Does it irritate you? Squawk! Does it irritate you? Squawk! It's driving me nuts. Squawk! Driving me nuts. Squawk! Well, take heart, or maybe just a spleen or a kidney. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. He must believe that what you say is worth repeating. I wish my wife felt like that. Read a book to him over and over. Then it will be like having a book on tape. You can return it to the library and still have the taped version.

myna birds do that too... just put a cover over the cage. if it keeps chatting, kick the base of the cage(but don't tip it over!), or if the cage doesn't have a base, rap the cage loudly.
