Hi marmalade, 'take it to the vets' is what everyone will say. The cause of the problem could be anything from a sprain to a grass seed that pierced her paw. If it is a foreign object that entered she will need anti-biotics - this problem will not go away by itself so, my suggestion, as the others is - you need to see a vet.
P.S. It is not a broken bone else she would't even be able to limp.

Check the leg and foot of the paw she is limping on. Does she flinch when you touch a certain part of it?

Is there something stuck in her paw (eg. shard of glass/pottery, a grass seed etc)?

If you can find nothing, keep an eye on her for a couple of days and see how she reacts. If she isn't better soon or she gets worse, get the vet to have a look at her.

Good luck

check the paw for cracks or broken toe nails it may make her cry but this would be best if there is a any think that may be hurting her you would see it like a toe nail or crack in the pads... and if there is anything best is to clean it and keep it clean if there is a crack. other wise if you dont see anything on the out side that could be bothering her it might be something inside are you sure its the foot and not the wrist mover her the paw around bending the joint to make sure its not that and even checking the toe joints. if you cant find anything that way then yea bring her in to the vet. i would wait a day or two just keeping her calm might let it heal on its own if it didnt get better in a day or two i would bring her in.

Hmm. Could be a number of things. She may have stepped on something sharp and hurt the pads of her feet or she may have something stuck in there... I know she won't like it, but if you get down and really look and feel around - you might be able to see if there's something stuck.

If it's not that and she went to bed fine... she may have pulled a muscle or sprained it. I would give her some K9 aspirin (liver flavored... yum.) And kind of wait it out. If she doesn't stop limping I would take her to the vet.

Hope that helped.

Could be one of many things. It might be an internal injury so you cant see what is the matter. Or she could have troden on something like broken glass and cut her paw. In any case, take her to the vets to get looked at. She will be fine.

You should see if anything like a seed head could have got on her bed and in her paw, and if she still limps tomorow morning, get her to the vet.

good luck, hope she gets better!

leave it at least 24-48 hours our dog has pulled muscles in its leg before if its that it should go away. Also check for any cuts of bits of stone etc in the paw.

She might have something in it like a thorn or piece of glass or something, however you really need to take her to the vet to be sure.

If her foot is sore why not soak it in bowl of hot water in which you add a table spoon of Epsom Salts. The water should only be as hot as your bare hand can take (never boiling!!) My dogs love it they seem to find it soothing.

She could have slept on that paw and cut off the circulation or she could have sprained her leg and you never noticed. If you care for your pet then for her safety and your well being take he into the vet and let them check her out...
