say you are walking down the street alone one day and a dog runs up and starts to jump and bite you what would you do?


btw this is not a joke there are lots of dogs in my area that are loose and I am afraid one day I might get attacked so I want to be prepared. I can't carry pepper spray or anything because I'm not 18 yet so it would be illegal for me to carry weapons.

I have a 9 month old yorkie girl. And she is the sweetest dog ever, but she doesn't bark very much. Only when she's chasing something or when she wants some people food. I know i should be thankful that she doesn't bark, but come on, she's a dog!!! So, why do you think she doesn't bark? Did you ever have the same problem?

I just took my dog back from my brother(who lives in the country, thats why he had him) but he's SUPER MATTED. like his ears are conjoined to his neck in matts, his legs have matts under them by the groin and chest and his legs are fairly tangled. Im afraid to take him to a groomer because hes 16. How(if possible) can i groom him myself? Hes an English Cocker Spaniel.

We are finally taking the big step to get a dog. We are planning to get a female. Years ago when I grew up vet told my mom its better if our cat had a litter before she got spayed. Advice my mom followed. It broke my heart when the kittens went and dont know if I'd be able to be as tough as mom. Are we better of getting a male?( We would still have him spayed).

Hi one of my female guppies gave birth to 12 baby guppies what I want to know two things really first is it ok to let them out of the breading tank(they are with there mother) and into my tank witch has 3 Black tetras 2neons and 5male guppies and 1 female guppies (excl the mother)and the secound what do I feed them any help would be helpful thanks

My dog likes to chase balls and play fetch. I through the ball and he ran and in the excitment crashed into and through a metal agility jump. He then peed out a bunch of blood. I freaked out and took him to the vet where we found out that he had just broke a blood vessel in his penis during the impact with the jump. He didn't even act like he was hurt but instead wanted to continue to chase balls. Has anyone ever heard of this happening to a dog before??

My hermit crab is normally very active but has recently stoppped moving. I did notice a couple of days ago that it began to hang more around the water bowl and looked like it wanted to dig, but i am not sure it is ready to molt. I noticed today that it had not moved in several hours. i picked it up and it will barely move; I thought it was dead but when i put a little piece of paper to its claw it closed its claw slightly. I put it back in the crabitat hours ago and it has not moved and I can see the legs hanging out some whereas normally they are pulled in. Is it dying or is it ready to molt? How can I tell? What do I need to do because my son will be devastated if it dies? If he is sick how do I nurse it back to health?

I addopted a 10 month old puppy. i was informed she had worms. she has had them since she was born. are they treatable no matter how long they have had them or can they be fatal. if they can be fatal, what are the signs that its too late to help them. she is pooping them out but she is caughing and she kindof has a shortness of breath really often. is it too late or can i still save her?

I only share this out of my genuine concern for you. If you don't believe in Cats you will never know the eternal purr. Is that really a risk you want to take? If you believe in pussycats, an they do not exist - no harm is done to you. If you do not believe in pussycats - and after death you find yourself in the great littebox in the sky - you will be just another piece of kitty roca.

ok well his shell is soft
he doesnt move
his eye lids are thin enough to kinda see his eyes
he has red marks on his stomache...
and the center of his stomache is very soft

i went to petsmart and the guy there said he's still alive that he just needs more light...because he doesnt have any calcium and that to wait 3 more days after sitting outside with him for 3 hours in the sun.....but my mom keeps telling me he's dead.

he also said that if he's dead that everything would be out and he'd be kinda limp...he's not but....im still a bit worried......

he hasnt been eating since i got him. i got him in china town....(he's a red earred slider)

so anyone who actually knows anything about turtles can you PLEASE help me.

ok, I just got a kitten..almost 100% sure she has worms..I adopted her and dont know how old she is..I'm guessing 8 to 10 weeks..I would like to take her to the vet asap but i'm only 17 yo and a huge vet bill is not somethingI'm too happy with at the moment but I need to and will take her...my question is, how much does it normally cost to get worming med and shots???

People who have neutered their dogs, did you give pain meds? antibiotics? If you did, kindly let me know what the vet prescribed, the dosage, and how many times a day? It would help if you can tell about small breed puppies under 6 month age. Kindly be polite and no abusive language.
