My dog likes to chase balls and play fetch. I through the ball and he ran and in the excitment crashed into and through a metal agility jump. He then peed out a bunch of blood. I freaked out and took him to the vet where we found out that he had just broke a blood vessel in his penis during the impact with the jump. He didn't even act like he was hurt but instead wanted to continue to chase balls. Has anyone ever heard of this happening to a dog before??

No, I haven't heard of anything like this before, But now I have. I never thought a dog could break a blood vessel in it's penis! But im sure it will go away, just make sure you do what the Vetinarian tells you to do..

Playing while hurt?
Yes.
Dogs will play/work with the most serious injuries. They just don't seem to notice the pain. When they do, and finally drop, they seem so ashamed that they failed.

Anyway, I could tell you stories!!

About his penis, it's possible.
The bleeding should stop pretty quick. If it's still bleeding in a day or 2 go back to the vet.

some dogs, like rottys, can tolerate a lot of pain, im, pretty sure it hurts, but they want to look strong (especially in a pack)
