my friend had one that lived to be 22! but how long on average do they live?

She is definately too fat (she weighs 15 pounds) and I am already following the vets tips: feed her less, brush her more, and play with her more... but it isn't working one bit. Any ideas?

I have a two and a half month old Siamese Mix kitten that has a Upper Respiratory Infection "again!!".
Anyone know any Holistic, Natural Medications to treat this
infection??? and if so, how can I get some? Please help me if you feel you can. I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you...

I babysit 2 girls and I made them brownies.. little did I know their dog was able to jump on the kitchen table and eat 2 of them.. They got worried because they hurt chocolate kills dogs but I told him he'd just get serious diahherea. Please tell me if this is true.. I would feel horrible if there dog actually dropped dead.

I got my cat from an animal shelter. she was in heat and they spaid her anyway. today, two days after surgery, she had a bloody, mucusy vaginal discharge. what could it be? what should i do? PLEASE HELP. (if this dusnt work we WILL go to a vet but if its nothing to worry about then we will probly go ne way but we will be less worried.) thanks

My 2 bettas will not breed. It looks like the female is plumped with eggs but they will just not breed. I had this problem for a long time already. Also, my male doesn't build a bubble nest. I really want baby bettas really bad. What should I do?

I just adopted a cockatiel from a rescue service and she has a cobweb on her (which i can't get off) and also dry flaky skin. (Some of the flakes were on her feathers too.) Do you know what this is? I am taking her to the vet but should I make a sooner appointment?

I have two dogs, said to be related. I'm curious to know what breed they are, they were sold said to be shitz tzu (sp); I didn't buy them for the breed, but for a dog. I'm still just curious.

The boy is the grey one:

His fur is curly/wired, about 10-13lbs, a long enough snout to curl my hand around it, floppy ears, long tail. Very smart, some what lazy, a little needy, but caring. Very, very protective.

Her hair is is not wired, it's more of a thin type. It's a mixture of whisker like furs with cotton felt fur. Same snout type, about 8-10lbs give or take. 5 inch foot to shoulder. EXTREMELY needy, loves running, loves licking the face, loyal.

Can anyone have a guess of the breeds? I have a clue and will post in additional details.

I had my one year old cat neutered he seems a little depressed and the vet told me to put news paper or old magazines on his litter box to prevent from touching and get infected, it dos really makes sense I did that but he refused to go in the little box, I also tried shredded paper and he still refusing so I put a very little litter in the box and made sure he wouldn't go to low to touch the litter it seems to work and I clean every time he uses however I cannot be with him 24/7 I have to work I decided to put 3 litter box with a little litter on each one this way he will go on a clean one every time he needs. I would like to get more advices from anyone to protect my little baby.

well i got the dog from family memebers at 2 days old,,,, the other 11 the vet took them ,, i took really care of cashmeir, since she was born on may 22, 2007,, i took her in my home and got her on insurance,,,, i dont believe in dogs going to the vet so they can killed them after so much period of time,,, i love saving animals and i got her when she was 2 days old.,,,, her mother die after giving birth,,, well enough about that,,,, as uy know she is a month in a haly and i was wondereing when should she start getting her shots,, and what shots should she have by now?,,, i save alot of cats and stuff but i never own a dog before and she os my first dog,,, so what kind if shot should cashmeir have??,, and is it too early to start training her to pee outside?? what is the right time to start training her? i notice they sell dog diapers, is they any good? is it ok for her to be outside if she havent got her shot's???

All of a sudden last night he just stopped in this ivy and wouldn't walk on his left front paw. When he finally did walk, he really favored it and limped on it. He got inside and laid down and when he got up after a while, he seemed fine. I checked out his paw and arm and stuff as best I could, but couldn't find anything noticable. I figured he was just being weird. Then this morning he limped a little and he just went for a walk and was limping around again! I am starting to get a little worried. Yesterday I ran him pretty hard, but he seemed fine other than being tired. I moved his arm and wrist and paw and squeezed them all over to see if maybe it was a fracture or something like that, but he never winced or pulled it away or did anything. Any suggestions?
