I asked this question yesterday, but would prefer a fuller list.

Just need to know what would go well with a single male Betta and 7 European Ramshorn Snails in a 10 gallon tank.

Also need opinion here, Ramshorn or Apples?

I would go for the apple snails
Out of own experience bettas go well with as follows,
balloon mollies
sun burst platies
zebra danios
pepper cory's (bottomfeeder)

Stay away from any fish that has long fins like the male guppies

These are the fish I have with mine together

hope that helps

Good luck

The snails will go with most any fish except snail eaters such as loaches. As far as the betta is concerned, in over 20 years of keeping them I have had bettas in the tanks with well over 100 species of fish, so that would be a lot of typing and I would no doubt leave something out. Basically any smallish, fairly peaceful fish will be a god tank mate for a betta in a 10 gallon tank. Most common tetras, any livebearers, all of the corys... the list really does just go on and on.

A 2.5 is probably not even sufficiently enormous for one betta and you will have a heater except your room is often 80F. That small of a tank won't carry a cycle so the filter out is enormously lots a ornament. you will nevertheless ought to do a finished clean out approximately each and every 3 days. you may't placed a female and male betta mutually different than for a short era for breeding after conditioning the fish. they'll combat to the dying. **

ramshorns are better as they are smaller.

Bettas and snails will be fine, but 7 snails might be excessive for the tank. I would go with 5 or less.

Applesnails for the win!

suitable tank mates for a betta include:

Cories
platies
cardinal tetras
Lemon tetras
sword tails
mollies
minnows
danios

Basically anything that does not have a long tail or is a nippy bugger!

NEVER put another betta in with a betta. This includes females. They WILL fight and someone will die.

Ya i had a betta in my 50 gallon tank for a while, never had much luck with them though. They're pretty fragile...maybe thats because they're used to the little jars and not 50 gallon jars. Ya but anyway i hope you have luck with that cuz i didn't really. LOL

Male Bettas have to be alone because they are very territorial and will fight/kill other fish.
