Anytime they get dirty or smelly...other than that, a few times a month should be enough. It really depends if the dog is outside a lot or not.

Looks like a pic of a Belgian Sheepdog....in which case bathing is only needed if the dog smells or you are prepareing to do a full groom: brush, bath, blow and brush. Too frequent bathing leads to dry skin and brittle coat. Use a good quality shampoo for dogs or baby shampoo. Rinse very well and use a gentle conditioner. Rinse until you think it's all gone, then rinse some more. Towel dry and brush coat as it drys for long haired dogs.

I bathe my dogs every 4-6 weeks and that is only if they really need it. In the summer time I bathe them to keep them clean and to control any flea problems. In the winter time I bathe them once or twice during the whole winter and that is only if they need a bath. Bathing a dog too often can cause skin problems. Dry and itchy skin can be caused by bathing them too often.

Well couple of questions you have to ask yourself is how hot is it there where you live? And the dog's fur is thicker of is it lighter. I give my dog a bath once a week only reason why is when we take him for a walk he gets dirt all over. But once a month maybe even twice a month is good.

Giving a dog a bath more than 6 weeks intervals can cause dry skin conditions. There are shampoo for the in between times. Waterless shampoos work well, follow the directions carefully.

You shouldn't bathe your dog more often than every two weeks. Over-frequent bathing disrupts the normal protective barrier of the skin, making them more prone to skin infections. You should try to avoid the really cheap shampoos, as these contribute to loss of oils and drying of the skin.

Aside from this, it doesn't really matter how frequently or infrequently you bathe him/her...if the dog stays clean, it doesn't matter whether it is bathed or not.

In humid countries like my country Singapore, it is adviced to bathe your dogs once a week. Actually, that's the max i would recommend, bathing your dog too often will strip off their natural protective coat.

For myself, though i live in a humid country, i keep my dogs clean by cleaning your paws and pee/poo areas daily after their walks, so i hardly have to bathe them, probably once in 3 months or so. Also, i wipe their face and body with sanitized cloth daily too.

Rule of tumb. if they smell bad, go for the bath! Else, once a week is max.

Cheers!

Does your dog smell so that it bothers you? If not it does not a bath. My dogs do not smell so they never get a bath. A bath for a dog is only for you, to take care of a smelly dog.

You shoud bath your dog only once a month less if possible, If you bath your dog to much your dogs will loose "oils" in there coat and they need that. Best of luck to you and your dogs:)

You should give your dog a bath once a month. that way you can make sure he doesnt have any ticks or lumps or any kind of sores anywhere on him/her. Then a good brushing makes them feel so good. That what I do with my dogs.
Good luck
