She probably has Pyometra. Get her into the vet ASAP. This can be FATAL!

It's not normal, but I have to wonder at what point in her cycle did you breed her? A dog can bleed for a week and a half to two weeks at the beginning of her heat cycle--she is not yet ready to be bred at that point. If you tried to bred her at the very beginning of her heat cycle, then it's possible that she's still in the bleeding phase. After the bleeding stops, then the discharge becomes less bloody and more of a creamy/yellowish color, and this is when she is ready to breed. If you waited until after the bleeding stopped stopped initially, then she should not have been bleeding at all after mating. She may have been injured by the male, or there may be something wrong hormonally or have an infection. Either way, she should be seen by a vet.

PS--Dogs with pyometra do not bleed--they have a yellow/pus-like discharge with a foul smell. I'm still betting on some kind of injury or hormone imbalance.

It's not normal.Dogs should not even be bleeding when they are bred. It's when the bleeding is over that they are ready to be bred. You need to take the dog to a vet,and think about getting her spayed. There are too many puppies being out down in shelters for lack of homes,German shepherd puppies, too. Please reconsider letting her have pups.
