How is she (going nuts?)

my dog did that....my vet gave her some "chill out" pills. every dog reacts differently to anesthesia. some go crazy and some just become lil veggies.

additional: i am telling u that i know exactly wha u mean...after my dog was fixed (even thought she was trained and fairly calm) she just started acting crazy. she could not stay still, couldn't follow simple commands, started tearing up stuff etc. her personality totally changed. if i ever let her out...she would take off running around like something crazy! it was like she had 10 red bull drinks and could not come down off them! my vet said that smaller breed dogs sometimes have side effects for longer than the normal 2 days. it took my dog about a week to calm down and get back to her old self. there r still times when she acts a lil odd, but for the most part it has been about a month post surgery and she is fine. i had to give her a mild sedative for over a week.

If you mean that she is still hyper after getting spayed then you need to obiedence train your dog. Just because she got spayed doesn't always mean they will calm down. Boxer's tend to be hyper all there lives. I had one for 11 years. She still played like a puppy up until a month before she died. She was a great dog.

A little more info would help.

- When does she go nuts?
- How does she go nuts?
- How old is she?
- What breed/mix?
- Inside or outside dog?
- How much exercise daily? What kind of exercise?
- Any training previously?
- How do you react to her "going nuts"

Elaborate.

Going Crazy meaning she knows she can't have Babbie's then that's fine ,but if it continue's though out the rest of the week then check with your vet about it...usaly they give medicine when they get fixed (my cat got fix so he wouldn't spray any thing) Mabey it's the medicine ask your vet about what the medicine does..

my dog also got fixed she will still act crazy but make sure she is not to crazy because the stiches could tear and the place where the took everything out leads up to its heart and you need to check on her sticches every once and a while

If this isn't how she usually acts, I would go ask a vet, but if she always acted like this don't worry its perfectly normal. My dog went through the same thing yours did but she is usually this hyper all the time.
