I have two goldfish. One became ill initially, just very lathergic but has since shown strong signs of a bacterial infection. The other has shown definite white spot symptoms with the salt grain like spots and hanging at the surface. he's also very lathergic.
I've moved the fish with the internal bacterial infection to a separate tank and treated him with the appropriate medication, and I've treated the other for white spot but I'm not sure if he may have an internal infection also. He is very lathergic and kind of has 2 small swollen areas at either end of his tummy, not a definite swelling but more making him look like an odd shape! His colour looks ok (except all the white specks) and he is eating ok. Should I be treating him for white spot or would I be better treating for bacterial infection? I dont think I can do both, I am using interpet 6 & 9.
I have checked the water and all levels are fine.
can anyone help?

I should say at the moment this fish I have treated with interpet white spot (the blue liquid one), but I'm a bit worried about the possible bacterial infection as he was in the same tank as the other for several days and does look a funny shape

Its a 35L tank, and had two in it although I have moved the bacterial infected one to a 4L. the one I'm unsure about is still in the 35L one, and I did a 50% water change before treating it earlier today with white spot treatment

Well it started with just white specks, but he was behaving completely normally. Then he started hanging round the top of the tank, but now is very lathergic, still eating his food, but looks sort of unnatural round his tummy. Not quite lumps but some extent of swelling. The other fish in the tank has a bacterial infection and has been moved to another tank but never had any white spots at all.
I'm not sure if I can use both treatments at the same time or not. I have used the one for white spot from interpet

f you feel the fish has an internal infection. you should begin treatment for that as soon as possible along with the ich treatment. Without more information about the symptoms that lead you to this conclusion 'm afraid I can't really recommend proper treatments.

seems such as you have an ich difficulty. Ich is a fungus brought about by using tension and undesirable water high quality. My guess would be you do not have an somewhat great tank for those fish. Gold fish want a minimum of 30 gallons (for one). They produce extra waste than maximum fish. you in addition to mght may well be over feeding or have undesirable filtration. you may desire to purchase some drugs for the ich asap. Take any carbon out of your filter out once you're administering the medicine. And in the adventure that your tank is in basic terms too small take the fish back to the save. Sorry if I sound mean yet in basic terms pointing out the info.
