Cat showed up last Friday, won't leave, but I'll gladly keep her, just don't want to spend a lot of money if cat has owner. She also has a limp in her right rear leg, like broken, but didn't heal right. I don't mind keeping her, but don't want a litter of kittens either, as this is a female cat. I purchased some Frontline, took care of the fleas pretty well. She needs to be checked over, have shots, x-ray etc. but is there any help out there that cares about abandoned animals, charities or anything that doesn't put the burden on me? Please help, it's a very loveable cat, but I don't really have the money to put in someone elses animal. Will post FOUND CAT signs in the neighborhood to see if anyone lost this cat, but there are several cats around here, male& female, time is running out, don't need her to have kittens.

..training. I planning to attend classes as soon as possible because I heard that its best to train a dog when its very young. Any way if I were to take those classes, how many sessions does it take to complete the course, and how much does it usually cost??

My dog has ALWAYS been a picky eater.. however, for the last week or so, she's been progressively eating less. For the last 3 or so days, she hasn't really wanted to eat almost anything. She eats a bit of her food, and then leaves it alone. I feed her homemade food, chicken or beef with brown rice or potato. For the last 3 days, it's been the beef. She also gets a pet vitamin and a small spoonful of yogurt with it, and sometimes some carrots, but not lately. Anywho, she doesn't eat the beef at all, very little. BUT she does eat her favorite treats, and also these other treats that are not her favorite, but she will only eat if she's hungry. So.. it kind of seems like she doesn't want to eat the beef. he gobbles down the 2 other treats.. although I haven't given her any today, as I want her to eat her food instead. Anyway, I'll be taking her to the vet this week, but just wanting your feedback.. she generally eats one or 2 times a day, and has often not eaten for a whole day..

My 14 year old cat had what the vet called a "cyst" on his neck for several months. We were told not to worry about it. Then in the last couple of weeks, the cyst started getting bigger. Yesterday we noticed that it was visibly protruding out from his hair. It looks like a big skin-colored pea. We decied to return to the vet today... but then we noticed it was gone. We found the "cyst" sitting in his bed. No blood on it, or visible scratch marks. It looks like it just fell off. Anyone ever hear of such a thing? We saved the "cyst"... I know, I know... but we are wondering if we should take it and the cat in for a visit with the vet. Any thoughts? Thanks!!

We just got a two-year old Rat terrier, and he doesn't like going outside. We'll put him out there while we run to the store, and he'll whine and scratch at the screen door to be let back in.

Are there any good suggestions to train him to be better outside? Any good discipline techniques?

My 6-7 month old New Zealand bred rabbit seems to be lazier than active most of the time. May it be night (I know rabbits are nocturnal) or day, caged or freed indoors, Max flops and stretches 85-90% of the time except when he eats and drinks water.

He does not poop much, but he poops all over the place. It is often said in rabbit websites that they often tend to defecate and urinate in a single place, I get frustrated I don’t see much of that on my Max. I am willing to potty train him, but I haven’t read any clear manual from a number of how-to’s I have read in books and websites. I always end up with questions for each article I study.

I get a little jealous with other rabbit owners proudly telling and showing how their pet rabbits get to be so active and sometimes mischievous and naughty. Hehehe! It would give me great joy and exercise if I could play with my pet rabbit Max both indoors and outdoors (like play ball, etc…). That’s the compliment you get for adopting and feeding

He says that she will go into shock if he drains the fluid. Instead, he prescribed lasix but he feels that it will not be effective. Can fluid be drained a little at a time.? At the vet's office, he drained a syringeful and she was greatly improved when she got home. I feel that we need to get that fluid out.

My husband keeps Tropheus and they seem to have bloat and white feaces.
None of the vets will perscribe clout for them in Australia.
Is there another way I could get this medication for our fish?

I found a pet rabbit. We looked everywhere to find the owner and couldn't, so we're going to keep it (unless the owner turns up). We bought rabbit pellets for food. The food bag says the pellets are all the rabbit needs and hay is not needed. All the websites I see say that you have to give them Timothy hay and that pellets are for supplementation only. What do I do??? We can get Timothy hay if need be. The rabbit pellet is called "Producer's Pride Rabbit Feed".

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

I, myself, have tried many different foods for my two boxers have owned, pedigree, science diet, Nature's Choice (large breed) just to name a few. I now feed my one boxer I have now Royal Canin Large breed puppy32 and have felt like this is the best for them. I later plan on switching my boxer to Royal Canin BOXER food after she's 15 months as directed on the "boxer" food label. I'm just curious what foods do you guys perfer for your dogs? (boxers preferrably but other large breeds are welcome)

We have a 3 month old blue heeler. We love her to pieces, but she is so hyper! She sleeps in her kennel at night, but during the day she's out running around our property (we have several acres) and playing with our kids. She absolutely attacks our 2 year old when she sees him (playfully, of course). She just jumps up on him and licks him till he falls down. I know she's still young and I hope she will calm down as she gets older, But does anyone have any advice on what would be good for her to help her be calmer and still happy? Her mama is a great dog and she has never been hyper like this. Thank you everyone for your suggestions!

I just inherited a 10 year old iguana. She is just about 3 feet long. I am trying to get the proper lighting set in her new terrarium. I don't know the difference between UVA and UVB lighting? Which is more important for the tank? I also see that you can get different numbers of UVB lighting, (ex./ 5.0 UVB, 10.0 UVB etc...) Is it the higher the better? or the lower the better? Lastly, which is better - the long (old style) flourescent tube lighting OR do I want the newer styled "screw-in" self ballasted flourescent lighting? Please help an iguana "novice" out. Thanks so much

I feel so guilty that I purchased my Pekingese from a petstore. I can't stop thinking about it. My mom is a show breeder of boxers so she always raised me to NOT get a puppy from a petstore. I just thought by chance my puppy didn't come from a puppy mill, even though I really didn't believe that. After getting his AKC papers I quickly realized that he is for sure from a puppy mill. He was sold to the petstore by the Hunte Corporaton which is a broker for puppy mill puppies. They buy them from the puppy mills and then clean them up and give them vaccinations, then they are sold to petstores. Also, my dog's mother was only 9 months old at the time of his birth!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just can't believe I was so ignorant and stupid, to ever buy from a pet store. I love my new dog more than anything. I just keep thinking how my money helped support this horrible industry. I just want to make other people aware of this and please don't buy from a pe tstore. I knew better, and did it anyway.
