depends on the species...most passerine (perching birds) leave the nest at roughly 2 weeks of age..other birds can stay in the nest much longer..for example, hummingbirds leave at about a month of age, and others such as sandpipers, quail, etc. leave the nest as soon as they are hatched.

I do believe that baby birds are about 2 months old when they leave the nest .good luck .
