I bought some garlic, it's 3 bulbs and I live on my own and usually only cook for myself. They had to be bought in packages of 3, can I freeze the other 2? If not, how can I extend shelf life a little longer? Thanks for any help!

I like cake cold, and thicker chocolate frosting and filing. Any recipes that anyone has made and froze, that taste better than store bought?

We are having New York strip steak (it has been marinating today in a beer/garlic mixture) I am going to make a balsamic reduction (balsamic vinegar, sugar) with carmelized onions for on top.

I then got small red bliss potatoes. They are going to be boiled and then smashed flat and fried in bacon grease. They are they going to be topped with the bacon, onions, and parmesan cheese. (healthy... obviously not lol... but its ok to splurge every once in awhile!)

Does this sound ok? Any suggestions to improve?

How do you make it?

I'm also looking for a recipe for a crust without cinnamon. Can I just skip it or do I have to substitute something like nutmeg for it?

I had a recipe today that called for baby yukon gold potatoes... in this recipe you boil the potatoe... and kinda smush it down and then fry it...

Well.. they didnt have baby yukon gold potatoes so i had to get the red bliss potatoes (only small ones available)

Will those work the same?

I know this sounds like a silly question, but I am really just learning how to cook.

I am using a soup mix to make some cheddar potato soup and it says to whisk the mix in with the water.

I don't have a whisk. What can I use instead??
