My boyfriend always orders mushrooms stuffed with crabmeat when we eat out. He pretty much judges the restaurant based on that-If they get them right, the rest of the meal is fine. I would love to be able to make them at home for him sometime. I am no chef, but can seperate eggs if I have too! Please help.

I was making a stovetop version of meatloaf and I added the tomato sauce BEFORE I browned my beef. Now the beef has been cooking for a half hour and still looks really soggy, but brown. Is it still SAFE to eat or do I need to toss it and start all over?

i'm always looking for new recipes. tv and magazines give lots of good gourmet recipes, but i'm looking for some normal recipes that everyday moms make and their families love.

I have a box of fried rice mix that calls for TUB margarine specifically. I was wondering if there is really that much difference. If I just use stick margarine, what will happen?

I have a recipe for a cake that specifically calls for "cake flour". Also, it calls for double acting baking powder. Does anyone know the difference between it and regular baking powder?

I was wondering if anyone has the receipe for the red cabbage that Northwoods Inn serves. I've tried others, but it's always lacking "something." I live out of state now so I just can't ask them. Besides, they might not want to tell me. Anyway, is anyone familar with it and know how to make it like they do?
