I'm having a craving for sauerkraut, but I don't have any hotdogs. I don't want to drive all the way to the store for some. Is there anything else you can use sauerkraut with? Any recipes? Thanks

The wife to my husbands uncle just had a baby so treed day was today. I didn't go but my m-i-l sent some treed over for me for after maghrib time.
The treed this time was made with almonds in it. It tasted like the same nut mixture they put into chicken bastilla (which I don't like) mixed with my treed! It completely ruined it!

Why did my mother in law do this? ;-( waaaa

I've been looking at few chinese recipes but the thing that bothers me is that practically all of it contains some kind or another type of alcohol. I'm a muslim, therefore we're not allowed to have any kind of alcohol in our food and drinks. So, can anybody help me?

I personally can't stand the Nissin brand. It not as soft as Maruchan's and the soup mix tastes a little off...

Anyone know why Costco changed to Nissin? Or is that just in AZ?

there isn't anything i can't cook except fried chicken. sometimes it looks perfect on the outside, but still raw inside. i either over do it or under do it. please someone enlighten me.

I love to cook chicken, but often screw it up somehow. I try to use a pan to cook 2-3 chicken breast-halves in, with a thin layer of olive oil and med-high heat. Suggestions?

I don't know what to serve with our meals. I always end up having mac & cheese, or opening up a can of green beans, and we're getting pretty tired of it all the time. Every once in a while we'll have mashed potatoes and gravy. Please, help! Anyone know any good side dishes? Something that would go good with salmon patties, or chicken legs? I would really appreciate it! Thanks = )

When you get a recipe for making a meal, cake , cookies, etc. Why do they put specific measurements? When the person who actuall came up with the concosion they did not say 1 tsp. of salt, 1/2 tbsp. butter, etc., what they did was mixed it together cooked it the way they wanted, with their taste buds and tried it out. The way I make my concosions is the same. I look in my cabinet see what I have see what my taste good together, see what seasonings I have that could possibly flavor it to my taste buds then cook it. I do no measuring. When you watch Racheal Ray she does the exact same thing she gets everything she needs for the recipe then begins making it, but uses no measuring. So, why do recipes come with measurements?

Left over mashed potatoes, what can I do with them for another meal. One thing I like to do is make patties out of the leftover potatoes and then fry them in a pan until crisp on the outside.
