My favorite is grilled. It gets a wonderful flavor from the grill.

Remove the outer part of the husk leaving a few leaves covering the corn. Pull down the leftover husk enough to remove the silk from underneath. Place the corn in a bucket of ice water for 30 min -1 hr. Remove from the water and place on a hot grill. Turn occasionally, cooking a total of 15-20 min. The husk should dry and may even begin to blacken and burn.

The cooking time can vary depending on how hot your grill is, how close the grill is to the flame, etc. If you use the same grill all the time you can practice and get a more precise time for that grill.

This is a simple way to make it, but it taste so good!
Cut the corn off of the cob and fry it in a frying pan with lots of butter, fresh ground black pepper and sea salt! If you find good sweet corn, you can also put it in ziplock bags and stick it in the freezer. That way you can have it when ever you want it. I love good corn, so when you find it, its nice to stock up on it. ENJOY!!

Leave husks on corn, put in large pot and add enough water to cover, then add salt to the water(depends on amount making, say 10 shakes for 5 ears) then let sit for a couple hours, get charcoal grill going and when coals are white set on grill until done, turning along the way.
10-15 minutes for 5 ears, peel back husks and enjoy, great grill taste!

two savory ways to serve corn on the cob...

1. soak it in ice water with husks on with hair removed then after roasting... have a kettle of melted butter with a can of beer mixed in. keep warm...dip entire corn ear in..

2. after boiling your corn spread with nacho cheese that comes in a jar...

You can cook them as noted by Wildman, or leave the husks on and grill or microwave...smother in butter and add a taste of salt and pepper

savory
I like when you clean the silk and wrap the husk back and seal in aluminum foil and put directly in the fire so that the outer husks burn and smoke the steaming corn inside.
