Take a spray bottle and put some milk in it. Spray the Rice Krispies with the milk, making certain to mix the Rice Krispies while doing this so that all of them get sprayed. Let set just about 30 seconds to 1 minute, then add all of the regular ingredients together. The Treats should come out not so crisp. Spraying them like this will moisten the Rice Krispies without soaking them. Using milk instead of water not only won't take away from the flavour but will enhance it slightly. Don't let them set too long, though, else they'll get soggy. You could always add a little vanilla or other flavouring to the milk if you want. That way it will penetrate the Rice Krispies instead of just setting on top of it.

4c. rice crispies
6 oz. chocolate chips
1/2 c. powder sugar
2 T. butter
1 T. water

Stir in rice crispies. Press 1/2 of mixture in a 8x8" pan, and cool. Melt remaining ingredients together. Spread over cooled mixture. Top with rest of rice krispies mixture. Chill and cut into bars.
These are so delicious and they make ALOT. I call them Christmas Crispie because I usually make them for gift giving at Christmas.
Christmas Crispies
Ingredients:
1- 6 oz. pkg. semi sweet butterscotch pieces
1/2 c. peanut butter
5 cups of Rice Crispie cereal ( i use a generic brand)
Stir the 6 oz. pkg of butterscotch bits and the peanut butter in a pan, over low heat, until the butterscotch melts. Then pour mixture over the cereal and stir together gently. Drop by teaspoons onto wax paper. Chill for two hours or over night.
(Remember to place on wax paper. Or they will stick to whatever surface you place them on. I also like to sprinkle them with colored sugar crystals.)

Use crushed up in meat loaf instead of bread crumbs, oatmeal or corn flakes to absorb the juices and flavors.
