How do you know if bacon has gone bad? We took it out of the freezer 13 days after exp. date...?

If it was frozen there's no problem. If there is a sour smell when thawed then it's gone bad.

As long as you put it in the freezer before the expiry date, it'll be fine. I would cook it within a few days though.

If it was frozen it was probably ok--if meat looks ok and doesnt smell rotten--its ok.
