freeze dried foods?

what is the best company for freeze dried camping food--lowest price, quality, etc.--I would actually like to put my own things together from individual ingredients---esp. looking for freeze dried hamburger that is edible

It has been years since I bought any but Mountain House used to have some really good stuff. They sell some things in #10 cans for "Emergency Preparedness" which you might consider if you want to make up your own packages. Pricey, but quite good.

There's a lot of freeze dried food companies out there on the web.Also look in Army-Navy type stores or stores with camping equipment.The link I've listed is for freeze dried ice cream.Bought this stuff when visiting NASA-it's yummy.
