I have t-minus 1 hour before my company arrives and I realized that I don't have a frosting for my pineapple upside-down cake! I do not have any brown sugar either. How do I caramelize cane sugar? Google will not pull up any decent answers. I have cane sugar, evaporated milk, strawberry juice, orange juice, and of course, pineapple juice from the can. Any ideas? If not, caramelizing cane sugar should work.

In my english class, our assignment is to create the horrendous looking cake spoken of in the novel "Great Expectations". However, the cake still has to taste delicious. Does anyone have any ideas as to what kind of cake I could bake and how I could make it look disgusting and aged without sacrificing taste? I would like it to be a layer cake, since it is supposed to be a wedding cake. Thanks for all your help!!

I made a two tiered Mother's day cake for my mom, and she took the leftovers to work to share with the girls. Now they are wanting me to make and bake them cakes. What I am needing is a price range to give so that i can charge for the cakes that i make. One woman even said that she would pay me $30.00 for a cake. Does anyone have any ideas.

I'm sooooo sick of boneless chicken breasts, but they're EXCELLENT when I'm trying to lose weight (I lost a lot of weight a while ago, but I'm working on losing a little more). Can anyone give me recipes for chicken that won't add a lot of cals, carbs, and/or fat - THAT ACTUALLY TASTE GOOD?
