We're having guests at our home tonight for dinner. We're having a potato bar with lots of toppings. What do you think is the best way to bake the potatoes first? We are going to do it in the oven, but do you suggest with or without foil? How many times should we prick the skins first? Oven temp and time? Etc. Thanks!

I tried Elvis Presley's fried tofu and it tastes so good.

Stuff you need:
firm Tofu
soy sauce
flour
paprika
salt
pepper
oil

Slice the Tofu just like french fries.
Marinate them in the bowl of soy sauce for 5 minutes.
Combine flour, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Coat tofu in flour mixture
In skillet - heat oil and then add the tofu
fry til brown
Serve.

You guys should try that...
I ate them and they are really good.

I have a blender, 10 speeds, but no food processor and need to process some tahini and fruit into a paste to make some halva. Will it work, what speed? Any tips?

Here's the recipe directions:

8 oz tahini or sesame seeds
4 oz raisins
4 oz dates
1 tsp vanilla extract

Break down the dried fruit in the food processor until it forms one homogenous mass. By hand, break the mass into smaller pieces, and then add the seeds or tahini and vanilla. Turn the food processor on again, and keep it turning until it forms a mass again; this will take a few minutes, be patient. You may need to add a few drops of water to get it to hold together, but be careful, any more than a few drops and it will become too sticky.
When it's become a single solid mass, take walnut-sized balls of the mixture and roll between the palms of your hands to form balls. Store in the fridge.

Someone recently told me that adding fresh pineapple to jello can be toxic. They say it even tells you not to do it on the box. I thought that was just because it wouldn't set properly. Anyone know for sure?

Just a general temperature in electric oven where they will be fully cooked, not burned, and still be moist and juciy? And for about how long? They are drumsticks and wings that I have marinated.
