Not that we would, but we decided that if you were hard up for some ground beef maybe you could use SPAM. Anyone ever done this?

try this,
SPAM Taco Buns

1 (12-ounce) can SPAM® luncheon meat
6 lettuce leaves
1/2 cup shredded taco-flavored cheese
3 tablespoons CHI-CHI'S® salsa
2 tablespoons sour cream
6 hamburger buns, split

Slice SPAM® into 6 slices (3x1/4 inch). In skillet, over medium heat, cook meat until lightly browned. Layer lettuce, meat, cheese, salsa, and sour cream on bun bottoms. Cover with bun tops. Serves 6.

Now Spam tacos have just gotta be down right nasty. I can see everyone tossing their spam now.
I am thinking that authentic Mexican tacos with dog might seem more appealing than spam, lol. Not really but maybe. Spam thoughts have me all confused.

I have not been quite that hard up, we ate SPAM alot when we were overseas in Iraq, but never would we have thought of that. It is not exactly the best ground beef substitute.

Those would probablly be some of the saltiest tacos ever, not to mention gross.

I haven't made Spam tacos, but I did make a Spam soup for the restaurant. I gave it some made-up name and everyone loved it and didn't question what was in it!

Honey, that's an old one but we used tortillas instead of taco shells. We didn't grind it up, just sliced thin and added the goodies.

We used to make spam burgers, before they advertised it. Used it on baked potatoes, in scrambled eggs and my mother used to fry up potatoes with onions and when they were almost done, she would add cubed spam. Spam is great in split pea soup, yum!

We were extremely poor, Mr.Spam and I were old buddies.

No, but i think I will give it a try....I mean I tried the spam sushi and the loco moco in Hawaii, spam is a part of the culture there since we brought it over during WWII. You want to do something with spam...the loco moco would be my bet.
Take bowl. put in rice, add fried egg and slice o'cooked spam and cover with gravy. me tourist listen to locals...it was really good.

Actually, Spam tacos are pretty delicious when you add the spices. It brings out a flavor that's unique when one adds home made chili hot sauce. Soft tacos or hard taco shell, it's good. I also made Spamburger helper too. Yum!

Nasty. Spam should only be eaten unless there is no food left on the planet ...and even then you could just pray and God would probably drop you down some manna.
