I was hoping to get it husked, cleaned, and soaking before I went to work - that would be about 8 hours. Is that too long to soak it?

My great grandfather was the first person ever to come up with the idea of putting little pieces of chopped up celery in his tuna. Needless to say, his idea caught on and is currently in use around the world. For those of you who don't know what I mean by, "tuna," I'm talking about tuna fish, the stuff you put on a tuna fish sandwich. This fish is now becoming endangered, although celery is still quite prevalent. Without the celery, the texture of the tuna fish just isn't the same. I'm sure you will agree with me on this point. Shouldn't my great-grandfather get some of the credit for this? Do you think he deserves some of the blame for the depletion of fish stocks in our world's oceans?

here are the details:

the party will be mid-day in mid-may on a sunday, so i'd like lighter spring/summer type foods.

i already plan on making a fruit kabob (strawberries, grapes, pineapple, melon, apple).

pigs in a blanket (it's time for that classic to come back) :o)

house shaped sugar cookies

and a veggie platter.

my delema is that i don't feel these selections offer enough flavor... please help me switch some of these out for finger-foods with a little more flavor.. or ways to spice up what i have.

i already planned on freezing some of the grapes and melons into ice cubes to add to the zinfandel wine i'll be serving...

it's all just missing something...............

I just had purchased the indoor grill (Hamilton Beach similiar to George Foreman) that allows me to cook any meat. However, since I didn't stack up on any new meats, all I have is cubed beef stew. I was hoping someone can suggest a yummy delicious that allows me to grill them (preferably with rice).

We don't eat beef, chicken, pork etc., only fish and seafood, plus lots of vege's and fruit. Any good ideas for tortilla type wraps that are served cold? Ideas for dressings, spreads, etc that would be tasty. We like all types of cuisine.
