Yes, refrigerate. Once they have moisture, and get warm, they are the perfect medium to grow bacteria.

Pour off the water before using and that will really cut how much gassiness the beans cause.

It's not necessary. The reason that you soak the beans in the first place is to let the air out.

soak overnight and rinse....know that most legumes will expand 3X so make sure you leave room in the container...rumor has it that an overnight soak will also help release the gaseous enzymes...

Also, cooking dried beans is certainly doable but much care/attention is needed to make sure they don't burn as they'll absorb much more water than soaked beans...

It is not necessary to refrigerate beans while you soak them. Be sure to rinse thoroughly before you cook them though.

Do salt them, you will have a really good bean when you are thru. Fresh is better than canned cause they jack up the canned stuff with chemicals

No you don't put them in the frig, just make sure to cover them though. But why soak them when you can put tehm on a crock pot in low heat till after work and they are done.

No - just soak them overnight in water with a teaspoon of salt & cover with a kitchen towel....

you don't have to refrigerate them, however i saw someone commented to add salt, thats a big no no... adding salt should be done at the END of the cooking process as adding salt= a longer cooking time.

leave them out. to have fewer problems with gas, change the water before cooking.
