3 tablespoons olive oil
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
5 cups chicken stock, preferably homemade
2 chicken bouillon cubes
12 tablespoons (1 1/2 sticks) unsalted butter
2 cups chopped yellow onions (2 onions)
3/4 cup flour
1/4 cup heavy cream
2 cups medium-diced carrots (4 carrots), blanched for 2 minutes
1 10-ounce package frozen peas (2 cups)
1 1/2 cups frozen small whole onions
1/2 cup minced fresh parsley
In a small saucepan, heat the chicken stock and dissolve the bouillon cubes in the stock. In a large pot or Dutch oven, melt the butter and saute the onions over medium-low heat for 10 to 15 minutes, until translucent. We received a box of bacon wrapped filets when we replaced our son's windshield and I want to cook them like they do in restaurants. I am thinking they brown them in a pan first, then throw them in the oven. Is this correct? If so, what temperature? How long for medium-well? I'm not much of a steak person and I don't want to mess up these steaks. I don't need any recipes, I just want to cook the steaks, then make twice stuffed potatoes and another side with blackberry cobbler for dessert. Thanks!

My friends bridal shower is tommorow and Im the host. I changed my idea on the main dish to croissant sandwhiches to make it more affordable. I was wondering if someone had an easy croissant sandwhich idea. I was thinking turkey and cheese and ham cheese croissant sandwhiches as a start but really cant think past that. Anthying from simple condiments to other meats or even completely different ideas will help. Also, where the best place to get croissants and is there a certain kind of croissant that works best? I can cook very well so I need something simple. I really appreaciate any help provided.
